SD DeepSea vs SD 43 Thickness
I have the SD DeepSea 126660 44m, I’m considering the SD 43 126600 43m, I have never seen a SD 43, for anyone that may own a SD 43 or seen one, is it the same thickness as the DeepSea or thinner?

SD43 is about 15.2 mm thick while the DSSD is 17.7mm. From what I’ve heard from people that own both, the difference is pretty substantial.

Slimmer and in real life the difference is really noticeable about how it wears and general comfort (big improvement for me).
SD43 is really well dimensioned (for a modern watch). |

Sd43 is thinner but depending on the shape of your wrist the Deepsea can be more comfortable since it has a bigger flatter back and makes more contact with the wrist , from my exp. (had both ) the Deepsea (new one) wears comfortable on a flat wrist, while the SD43 is also comfortable the contact of the caseback is much smaller.

For comparison, here are both on my wrist at the same time. The SD43 (mine) is a much better fit for my wrist size and shape compared to the Deepsea (friend’s)

I owned both at the same time for about a year and for me the comfort between the two was about the same. There’s no getting around the thickness of the DSSD, but if you’re wearing it in rotation it’s sure a fun one to own. |

The new dssd wears much better imo. The length of the sd43 does not work imo. At least for us small wristers.

SD43 every time; just a better proportioned design. But, as always, best to try for yourself. I found the 44mm very top heavy.

SD 43 is a lot thinner. But oddly my feeling is the DSSD is more comfortable for some reason

You get used to the DSSD pretty quickly, which is more than I can say for a cyclops on the SD43. That kills it for me. Even if I like the rest of the watch, I don't want to stare at that stupid thought bubble.
