Hulk price dropped

Bringing the news to the board after reading the Internet and confirming with Grey Dealers in Hong Kong.

It has dropped around 10% on the market from 17000 to 15400 USD. Time to pounce on it guys It can only go up from here

Have a good Sunday everyone

In the sense that a Rolex is a non-monetary store of value?

I was more referring to the hype and speculation.

Yeah, you've got to look at who is buying at the moment, and who is holding it, grey sellers in HK with 100s of SSs in the window, the problem isn't supply, it's the choking of demand. One day they'll need money, and a lot of stuff is going to go south.

I'm not talking doom and gloom, but this is a bubble for some models.

Yes chrononext also dropped the price of there new 2019 hulks by 500 pounds this week cant wait for the market to tank into oblivion.then us normal non billionaire non celebrity non vip guys can just get the watches we want for retail.i really can see this happening soon the bubble will bust in 2020 and hulks will be readily available for retail again for all of us that happen to like green subs not because there the hot watch right now.imo So many people will hate there hulk when they are common and readily available for everyone as they only bought it because it was hot and exclusive in there mind.only a few years ago people hated the hulk saying it's ugly.now it's hot the whole world says it's the best looking sub on the planet smh

General question: do you buy into the theory that holds because people cannot get a new model at retail that they ultimately start looking at, and buying, older discontinued models, say a 16710 instead of a 116710 or a 16600 instead of a 126600, and this is what has caused the ‘recent’ price boom of older models?

It will certainly be interesting to see how prices hold up over the next 2 to 3 years

Even watches like the two tone 'Bluesy' seem to become more popular, as the SS price goes up, and it becomes a 'value' proposition.

I think when we all get excited seeing a bloody Explorer 2 in the window it shows just how ridiculous this really situation is.

Same thing with the 16610LV, no? Maybe just a slow burner?

The number of hulks I see for sale far out strips any other model. I wonder just how many there are out there

I wondered about the psychology of the colour green. Google told me this

“Green has long been a symbol of fertility and was once the preferred color choice for wedding gowns in the 15th-century. Even today, green M & M's (an American chocolate candy) are said to send a sexual message.”

Didn’t specifically mention a green Rolex but I think the link is clear

I see the price drop on European Watch Co too, but their prices have always been high. Still overpriced IMO.

same here in hk, seems like nobody buy at previous price so they now lowered the price by 10% within a month.

I also think someone is offloading so the market had to adjust. Imagine you flood the market with a price point that's 10% lower than the market price. Other dealers have to adjust for it.
