Please give a suggestion

I'm looking for a strong and reliable watch, preferably under $100, but if you guys think that something that I'm looking for costs more, I guess, I don't mind going up to $300.

Must have features:

- metal bracelet
- scratch resistant glass
- somewhat waterproof
- No Tritium please

Highly desirable:

- GMT hand
- Stainless steel case and bracelet

Thanks in advance!

Under $300 would be tough to find everything you're looking for, but I would recommend Hamilton - by far the best for the money

Come on brother...you just have to add a little bitty zero behind those numbers and then we are in business....
By the way...what do you have against Tritium?

The Seiko black monster. GREAT watch, for super cheap. Many members here swear by thier Monsters :) You can get one on Amazon for like $200 (give or take) brand new.
They feature:
SS case and bracelet
Divers Extension
Super great Lume
One of the best timing bezels
very comfortable
waterproof to 200M
Automatic
Etc. etc. This watch can take a beating all day long.

You're right - I completely overlooked Seiko... Just lately, when someone asks about a 'watch', I assume 'mechanical', not quartz. Sorry about that!

Agreed. I like the Monster... If you have Amex points... I have seen these available as awards. Maybe get one for free? They also have Luminox which are pretty cool too.

Yes, the Luminox watches are very cool indeed. I bought one about 3 years ago, and (besides needing a new strap, due to the stock strap breaking in half) are a great watch. The lume glows constant for up to 25 years. Although it doesn't glow nearly as bright as a Monster does, while the Monster's lume dies down throughout the night, the Luminox will always stay consistent (due to the tritium tubes).
Both great watches, and highly recommend both.
