Can anyone guess where this dive took place?

Great to see the pictures of Subs being used for their intended purpose. Anyone recognize this underwater feature? Got a couple of nice dives with the Hulk in over 4th of July holiday.

Great pics.

I have been practicing holding my breath, to give my diver a workout - but try as I might I cannot get close to 12,800 feet....one day....:)

Are you all sure that’s what he intended?

It’s like people watching the Olympics and claiming the guy who came in dead last, a million miles behind the second last finisher and claiming that is the true spirit of the original ancient Olympics?

It’s emotionally comforting, but let’s not pretend we actually know shit about what they were thinking.

Maybe Hans Wilsdorf would be immensely satisfied with what’s happening now with regard the Rolex brand.

Pretty sure a watch designed specifically for scuba diving, and issued to countless navies across the globe, was actually intended to be used in diving.

Also, your analogy is bonkers.

The tech that exists today did not exist during his time.

The primary intended purpose of the Submariner watch is for telling the time - yes, I use it for that. Further, the natural habitat for the Submariner watch is on your wrist on dry land - yes I use it there daily.
The secondary function is a dive timer in a temporary setting (or call it a habitat as referred to earlier in the thread) underwater - no, I don't use the secondary function when underwater, but I do shower or swim with it and I use the timer every day, usually for cooking.

I’m reasonably certain that a watch with a professional dive history (think Comex) to the present that has only improved for that purpose with increased WR (and admittedly other purposes too), was and remains intended for H2O diving as well as the desk variety. Having said that, I am an avid, at least once-a-season Rescue Diver and I will not take either of my subs under the waves. I will take my micros and expendable, but not my Rolexes. My hats off to those who do, though. I wish I had the replacement funds or large enough round bits to do that, but I don’t.

Good guess. Same sculptor but different Caribbean destination. I’ll have to check out Molinere in the future. This one also has two submerged vw golfs in addition to the many sculptures.

I've done a couple of dives with my 16600 and my Panerai Pam118.
None yet with any of the others
