Pepsi and Diet Pepsi

16700 A series looks like the Diet Pepsi compared to my new Incoming Tudor BB GMT

My friend has the 16760 and tried on my tudor gmt.

He fell in love with it. To him it was the very modern reinterpretation done very well

Congrats

I just can’t warm up to that Tudor.

It feels like a poor substitute for the real thing - not a Coke, a Pepsi

I couldn’t wear it.

The Rolex is a nice classic worth some good money. You are probably going to find the Tudor a much nicer watch with a superior bracelet and much easier to read. Congrats on both!

Agreed. Many Tudors I'd consider, but not a knockoff Pepsi version.

Me too - I bought one and the thickness can be uncomfortable quite often...looks great though.

I would humbly suggest, the original Rolex pepsi is the one we are all familiar with. The Tudor is Pepsi-max - all the colours, none of the calories; and just not quite as satisfying.

But.
This is my issue too.
I really like the blue pelagos - it’s not trying to be a smurf. It’s just a nice stand-alone watch.

I'm hoping they give it the 58 treatment sometime in the future.

I thought that too until I saw it at my AD, tried it on and purchased it. Don’t knock it until you try it. It is not a coke or Pepsi; it’s Tudors version of a red/blue Pan Am gmt.

Some would argue the current ceramic bezel is a knock off; I will buy one eventually, though!

This is why nicknames can be misleading. The real original Rolex GMT is closer to the Tudor than the current model...but I’m still going to get one, eventually.

For now, I’ll just have to put up with this...

So funny people actually compare a 16710 and a tudor GMT

In that they both tell the time, and can do so in multiple time zones, they are the same

In all other respects they are different. Completely different

I guess it’s like comparing a banana to a pizza. Both are edible but taste very different

The Tudor is an outstanding watch in its own rights

But everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if they are wrong
