So I wake up and got a text from a rep at Tourneau here in NY (Roosevelt Field Mall). Whitney B and I have been texting for about two years with regards to various models that she would get in stock. She kept getting in nice pieces, but for me, the 126711CHNR would be my grail.

Well she got it in, I drove right over, traded in a 16622 Yachmaster in and got it! Feels so satisfying to see my name on the warranty card as I don't plan to sell or flip this. I have a Sub LV and BLNR with the Oyster bracelet and cannot believe how much those have gone up in value. I paid about $10K for each and I see they are creeping up to like $14K or so now. Keeping those as well.

It as also funny as I was contacting DavidSW a few months ago about this watch and was curious why they kept creeping up in price this year. Seems there is a big demand for these outside of the USA, so he kept raising his prices. I was so happy I did not have to pay the premium and just pay retail.

Big thanks to Whitney B at tourneau at Roosevelt field mall. I never bought anything from her.... I just kept in touch all year via text and she gave me the first call. It was not a horror story like having to buy other pieces in order to get this thing.

Oh and I did not know the 2019's had the 3285 movement. Pretty psyched!

On to the pix!

Smudge magnet as it's like 100 degrees here today!

Congratulations on your Root Beer, that is awesome and what a testament to your follow through and persistence :+)

Beautiful piece! How did you pull that off from Tourneau in the mall!!!! Have you bought other watches from Tourneau in Roosevelt field? I go in there periodically and there’s never anything in the cases.

I bought a Brietling a long long time ago... but the key was keeping communication and relationship with the AD. She would text me new pieces that would come in, some new, some old and I kept thanking her and telling her my real grail is the 126711CHNR. So she knew to call me as soon as she got it. Awesome AD in my opinion and got me exactly what I wanted, so they for sure will have me as a repeat customer. Ask for Whitney B. She is awesome!

But yeah they never have anything in the case, but they must have gotten a shipment that day as they had a few other randoms I usually don't see. They had a real sweet chocolate dial Yachmaster two tone that I almost bought a few months ago from another AD (snobby one telling me I will NEVER get the 126711CHNR) hahaha I got the last laugh on them. I might have to stop in and see what they have with my brand new CHNR!

MesaSean - Did you see my post about protecting the clasp?

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...light=vesnyder

Was not sure how I was going to like it but it is just about invisible! And the best thing, no new scratches!

No but thank you for sharing! After I had my initial Laptop scratches, they buffed them out (they were tiny) and gave me this protection tape. The tape does not "stick" like glue or scotch tape etc.... but it stick on automatically and grans the metal. I am using it on my clasp and works great. I'll try those 3M's as well....because the ones the AD gave me are good... but it's hard to get them folded perfectly so "I" don't notice them haha
