I made this exact switch 3 months ago. Still love the Daytona but I’m slowly starting to miss my BLNR. The reason why I sold it for the Daytona is because I already had a sub date and found both to be too redundant, and I wanted a white dial Rolex and the Daytona was a grail of mine. Watch for watch, I slightly prefer the BLNR because it has more wrist presence than the 520. But for my overall collection, i prefer to have the Daytona as it provides me with more variety than a sub and gmt, no matter how differently they wear.
If the BLNR is your only watch or the only watch like it in your collection, I would reconsider. However, if you have other similar watches like subs and gmts but don’t have a Daytona, I would absolutely go for it. But as others have said, only get a full mint set even if it sets you back a little more. Price wise, it’s a very fair trade. Good luck, but you really can’t go wrong with either options!

The BLNR is a nicer and more usable watch

I'd go with the SS Daytona, it's much rarer and already discontinued. Batman+$3K for SS Daytona is a pretty good deal on your part (depends on the condition of Daytona of course)

I’m a no too...I like the idea of buying a preowned Speedy with the cash and holding on to the BLNR.

OP, I have a Hulk and Batman myself and added a Daytona 116520 black dial 2 months ago (sold my Sub date to help fund it). If at all possible, keep the Hulk and the Batman and add the Daytona. Well, I guess you wouldn't be asking if that was possible. Between the Hulk and the Batman, I'd let the Batman go (if you got it at msrp). I love the Batman but the Hulk is just a tad more special in my opinion. You could also add the Batman on jubilee back to your collection down the road, that would bring a little more variety.

Batman swap + cash with daytona 116520 white dial
I don’t understand your post. What you giving up in a swap for what? I don’t understand how anyone else could possibly understand you post.
For example, what is a “116710 white dial”?!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have the 116520 white dial and the BLNR on oyster. The Daytona is more high profile. Strangers will recognize it when walking in the wild. The BLNR is more stealthy.
Keep in mind the Daytona is smaller, so if you like the bigger look stick with the Batman. But if you really want a daytona, make the deal. |

Daytona all the way. Classic, smaller, understated, more street cred, if that's what you're going for. Arguably, its the model that started the whole SS craze we are enjoying today!

I flipped my BLNR for the new Pepsi. If it’s a nice unpolished full set I don’t see why not.
