Spotted a Yachtmaster 40 with blue dial

I can’t recall who was recently looking to pick this up... but... this is for sale right now in the Bay Area. It won’t last the weekend... if you are a serious buyer, PM me and I’ll give you the AD’s name and number.

I have a good relationship there, so I don’t want to blast them publicly, so they are inundated with calls.

Cheers!

The only models in stock at most AD's I call are YM's. I don't think they're very difficult pieces to get a hold of. I could be wrong.

As of the last 6-8 months, I’ve heard they’re almost never available. People walk in wanting a sub, walk out with the YM (or at least that’s what I’ve heard)...

Nice of you to look out for everyone. I might be in the minority but I think this reference us just as nice as any of the hot models. The only thing is that if you don't mind a pre-owned model you can get a pretty good deal. I bought one 6 months old for $9000.

I haven't seen one at my AD since the end of 2018.

37mm YM's are not uncommon. The 40mm's are difficult to find, especially with the fantastic colors they come in.

That's fair. You may be right with the 40mm vs. 37mm.

I’m 50/50 on the model. I love the. Kid dial (and even the rhodium)... but I sorta hate the platinum bezel.

I was shocked by how well the watchcase wraps around the wrist. I didn’t realize it was so drastically different than the sub or GMT.

One of the pieces on my never ending list of future acquisitions is the ER YM 40... I had the chance a few times and never pulled the trigger. One of these days...

I had the exact same "one of these days" mindsets since it came out in 2015. Earlier this year I was thinking about it again and I asked myself "why not today?" and I couldn't find any reason not to and made it my mission to buy one that day.
