My first Rolex - need more info! Datejust 1600

This is my first Rolex and would love some more info on how rare it might be and what it’s worth. Thank you everyone!

Seller stated it is a 1964 Datejust ref1600. Seems to be a pie pan dial with very rare alpha hands. I know the bracket is not original.

I paid $1900 for it.

The 1600 is relatively easy to get here in the UK.

There is one shop in central london that has literally dozens available.

The price you paid is OK.

But ... That bracelet is a terrible fit and if you are not careful might actually cause some damage.

If you cant get the correct bracelet then a leather strap would be better.

Your DJ is about as rare as 1$ bills and we are not a valuation site.

What a historic example! The times it must have seen!
It has certainly been loved and worn over its 55 year life so far
I especially like how the dial, hands, bezel and crown look original from 1964!

Some may claim to see dozens of these but those are certainly without the alpha hands and have replaced dials.
