Thoughts on Panerai Pam 120.

I love Panerais because of their obvious 44m case, I never thought I would go smaller than that on a PAM. Today, I've been offered a 120 at a good discount. Any thoughts about it?

I like the idea of a Panerai on a bracelet, plus I can lend it to my wife. What do you guys think? VS the 111/104?

I've tried on a 120 before and it fit just fine. Some people buy Panerai because of the 44+mm sizes, however there's nothing wrong with 40mm. It all boils down to your preference and what speaks to you.

Mohammed...Buddy, for Panerai my advice is 44mm is the right size. Don't go to the watch smaller than that except the limited edition models.

40mm PAM's are very slow movers, stay with 44mm.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say go for it! The 40mm size looks great on small and medium sized wrists. Keep in mind as others have said this will be a slow mover if you should decide to flip it. Keep us posted Mohammed.

44 mm or bigger is what Panerai is all about, so in my opinion go with the 44 mm, but if you're going to share the watch with your wife I think the 40 mm will be the right one.

But in the end get what you like the most don't worry if is 40, 44, 45, 47......

I personally wouldn't do it, although I love the blue dial of the 120.

When I first started looking at Panerai, the 119 was my favorite. Blue dial and 40mm, I thought it would be perfect for my small wrists. Anyway, I ended up buying the 111 and haven't regretted it. I still think about the 119/120 everytime I see one come up for sale but in the end, I just don't think I could go 40mm after wearing the 111.

Most, not all, people who start on 40mm go to 44mm. They are supposed to be big watches. The Luminor's aren't dress watches, but casual. I work in IT and I don't wear my 111 to work except casual days. That is what I have Rolex for and eventual other brands. I'm not a brand whore, so I'll be buying all kinds of watches that I love.

For me though, the Panerai brand is BIG, so I wouldn't buy the 40mm in Luminor. If you want a dressier/smaller Panerai, I'd look into the Radiomirs. They may be bigger, but fit much smaller.

BTW, I have a 6 1/2" wrist and 44mm is just fine, just not with a suit for me!
