Incoming PM - A lifetime passion leads to this.
OK so I have been interested in watches for as long as I can remember, but only been seriously collecting for the last 12 years. At 21 I remember my mother buying me a gold rotary watch white dial on black leather.
Over the next 30 years in the military saw me with numerous G Shocks and Garmin's etc. Then at aged 40 I was presented by somebody special to me my Omega Seamaster orange bezel automatic watch. I loved it, there you go, and after years of looking at high end watches I'm sure I thought that would be the end of that, surely I'd be satisfied? You can never predict life; stress of multiple tours in the Middle East, losing close friends, coming to terms with seeing some horrific sights and finally finding myself in the strange position of having to start from scratch at a later stage in life. However I'm now back on my feet and in a much better place and happy again. This has allowed me to divulge and throw myself into my new work, but more importantly my passions (cars, watches and fitness). So after 30 years of building up from Rotary, Casios, G-Shock, Garmin, Armani, Tag Heuer, Omega, Panerai, not forgetting my grandfathers gold J W Benson at 70 years vintage; I now find myself in the very fortunate position of owning this beauty below. Surely this will be it now? I have no idea, but I think I'm nearly complete, apart from the PP 5168G Blue I have on order (2 years I've been told). Just thought I'd share a few ramblings (and photos) of a very happy 51 year old, old-soldier. A few photos..... Finally Pick up day My AD stated that it is untouched and I could unbox it, nice touch. First sight of a long time goal.... Wow.. just wow! Getting sized to my wrist. Perfect fit! No time like the present, this will be no safe queen, I've simply worked too hard and waited too long not to wear it at every opportunity....

So, even though I sort of knew this was happening, as you needed a hell of an authorization to get approved, it is still a magic moment. I am super happy for you, and it truly could not have happened to a more deserving person. Wear that thing in great health! Just a magnificent moment and a real chance to look at the things you have accomplished in life. Grail piece complete!
Congrats buddy!

That’s awesome and congrats!
I’d say wear the hell out of it, but I don’t think that’s going to be a problem
