Getting a bad feeling about the new? TT Sub

Assuming Rolex introduces a new TT Sub at Basel....a few thoughts. 2 VERY respected and knowledgable members of this forum have PM'd me with their impressions of the blue color of the current TT sub and the WG or YG versions. They have said that the new color blue on the YG or WG looks "painted" on, while the blue on the current TT sub looks " plated" and is deeper looking. I am sure that Rolex will upgrade the clasp and provide the newer Cerachrom bezel, but I wonder if they will change the shade or process of putting the blue on the face. To me, the great appeal of the current TT sub, is the incredible shade of blue, which plays off the stainless and the gold. If they stay with the same shade of blue as the YG or WG TT Subs, it will, IMHO, lose a great amount of appeal. Thoughts?

I think it will be better than the previous one!
Maxi dial, fat hour hand, better clasp and bracelet, AR coating on cyclops, ceramic material etc. Also one of our members recently purchased the WG Sub with the blue ceramic bezel and blue dial. Imho it looks awesome!
Still if you dislike the blue you could always opt for the black bezel-dial combo. Only negative aspect should be its price. It will definitely be a bit more expensive than the current model.

Interestingly I think many would agree that the ceramic blue of the YG YMII is a real beauty!!!!!

If you think about it, perhaps Rolex didn't use that for the WG sub as it might look too overbearing and deep for a single tone watch!

With a flash of YG, that blue would look gorgeous!

All they'd have to do is get the dial colour right!

I like the new WG sub color, but I totally see what you're saying about the appeal of that famous 16613 blue that shines in different lighting and stuff. I hope they can find a way to keep that effect with a new cerachrome bezel!

I hope they improve it so much, that no one is interested in the old ones, and I can snatch one up cheap!!!!
