YM blue...then flip Pepsi to a SS Sky D, white or black.

I’m not sure I agree with the three choices you’re thinking about. The Submariner (it’s not called a no-date) is a variation of what you already have and the Yacht Master also has a busy dial like your existing line up. You mention the DJ but that’s not a dress watch. If you want a dress watch go with an Oyster Perpetual or a Cellini. Personally, I’d get an Explorer to round off your collection.

The right watch will sing to you so loudly you won’t have a choice but give in.

DJ although why couldn’t you get the Daytona given you’ve purchased those 3 beauties?

Yes! That is an incredible comment from the OP. What planet of entitlement does he live on?

Seeing as the OP seems only interested in the hardest to obtain models (ie. a dull collection with no personal taste, just wants to show-off), then he obviously needs the Daytona C, or a 5711 or 15202 etc.

However, dropping the snarkiness for a second, I’d suggest a DD40.

Your original post said you actively narrowed down your collection to just the watches that you really want. If that’s accurate, then stay true to that desire. Only buy the watch that you want: if that’s the Daytona, then so be it.

Why would you settle for the YM, sub or DJ? All that does is expand your collection with watches you don’t really want. And you just spent time getting rid of those unwanted watches.

Lastly, ask yourself, what would you rather give your son: a Daytona or a DJ / Sub / YM? He just told me he wants a Daytona, in the box, unworn!

What a fantastic trio! I recommend the John Mayer Daytona as the 4th.

Does it need to be a Rolex? You have 3 of the nicest and most in demand SS sports pieces. Why not try something from another brand and add some real variety to your collection? A speedmaster for example would tick the chrono off the list, looks great and is very good value.

Given what you’ve got, I’d go yachtmaster

It would be worth the wait. As you've noted, bringing in another sports model, even the DJ, is going to duplicate the bracelets you have. OF would take your collection to a whole new level.

Barring that, I would look at something on leather. A Cellini, perhaps.

Great trio. A rhodium dial DJ41 would round it out quite nicely. I like the jubilee bracelet/smooth bezel combination. What about something on leather? Maybe a JLC Master Control chronograph.

Happy hunting! I'm trying to get mine to about three total watches, but not sure I can do it.

I always wonder when you see a great collection how much wrist time each gets. Invariably one of them becomes the go to watch. So if the hulk is the least, which one do you wear the most? What's the wrist time breakdown?

I’m probably pushing my luck at this point with my AD but I’d like to own just one more to round out and complete the collection at least for now (we all know this is a contagious and incurable disease). Obviously I won’t be able to obtain a Daytona anytime soon unless I pay the preposterous gray dealer price but I’m now considering asking my AD for the following:

1) Yacht Master 126622 blue dial
2) Submariner 114060 aka the no date
3) DJ 41 126334 fluted bezel blue stick dial on jubilee.

Since these are still possible to obtain within a reasonable window of time, which rounds out the collection best? I’m leaning towards the blue YM since it’s something out of the box for Rolex but then again it is another sports model with PCLs. Then again the Sub is a watch I could pass down to my son someday without it ever going out of style. Then there’s the idea of having at least one dress watch in the DJ.

Educated opinions are appreciated. Thanks to all in advance.
Such a collection should be supplemented with only this watch
