how financially solid do you have to be to buy such a watch ?

have a couple of mil housing portfolio , couple mil in the stock market earning dividends?

or do you just go yolo i got 60g in the bank account lets go get it

would love for a owner of a platona to explain when he felt financially secure enough to tie up the money in 1 watch ...

i spend a lot on watches ( yg sky dweller , yg day-date , yg daytona green dial, 2 deep sea's and a ss sky dweller ) this year alone, and i had a platona in my hands but could not pull the trigger yet

Talking personal finances in the open is generally not looked upon positively here. Besides you have your answer...as you have more $ then a Platona tied up in watches already. Flip a couple and you are there yourself w/o any furher expenditure. JAT

Congrats on the platinum grail OP!

Would also love to know, but not sure people would explain further.
someone who owns a gshock finds it daft that another spends so much on a tissot. The dude with a tissot finds it stupid to buy a rolex. The one with a rolex would rather have 3-4 rolex than buying a platona.. Then comes a big shot wearing a richard mille, and scoffs at the price of the platona... etc etc.
After all, one man's daft decision is another man's well laid plan! :D
And as said, you already have a 'platona' in value with your current watches :)

Damn it my thread got bumped.

Somewhere in the thread I posted why I decided not to go through with it. Itch has gone away for now and I'm very happy with my 116519LN.
