If it was purchased in the last 18 months Rolex recommend 10 years. Watches prior to that they recommend 5 years. Once serviced, the interval is 10 years for current calibres regardless of when it was manufactured.

A recommended service interval doesn’t mean the watch won’t run longer or need servicing sooner, so like nearly everything YMMV

Watchmaker, you seem to know the spec. Maybe you could answer a question for me? GMTii, 2014, 3186mvt. Just been serviced by the RSC. What accuracy should I be getting, the currently posted +2/-2 or the +6/-4 I was originally sold?

At present the timing spec published to watchmakers is -1+3. I expect this will eventually be brought in line with the -2+2 published to the public.

So long as the watch falls in the 'modern' category the timing specifications are the most recent published tolerances and not the tolerances when the watch was sold (-4+6).

Do they recommend 10yrs for the cal.3135 built watches too ?I m wondering since those movements rather required a maintenance job in every 6-7years (the axle bearing dried up even quicker most of the time),did they change for new lubricants or just don t care?
