Thoughts on 116655?

What are your thoughts on the 116655? I like the idea of having a rubber strap which makes it an everyday type of watch but for $24950 I don't know.

I was able to talk to an AD while traveling and they offered no tax since I'm from out of state (shipping back home) and an additional 5% off so total coming down to $23700 out the door. Is that a good deal or no?

It's nice but I think you could spend 24k and get a lot more elsewhere.

Hell, you're not far off from a full gold ceramic Sub from a gray

Get what you like brother. That being said, there are better values at that price, but if you really love YM then do it.

I was close on one but of these but could not justify the price. I would look at other options and if nothing else sings to you go for it.

I love it, doubt I’ll be able to justify it when the time comes for a rubber strap.

I can not justify the price for any Rolex...
That being said, the 116655 is a stunner in person.

Stunning. This is the watch that got me into Rolex. I went to my AD and tried it on... I was blown away and thats when I began looking into Rolex.

How about the new model the 126655? That has an updated movement and a glidelock clasp instead of the easylink clasp.

You can find a little better on price from an AD with a little looking but other than that, it's a great all around watch. Stealthy, sporty and PM.

It’s my favorite watch. Have to really handle it and see it in person to appreciate it.

That's the issue with the OF's, they are all several thousand dollars away from all gold. I don't see it, you really must want one to pay that premium.

If I’m paying that much, I’ll pay a bit more for all gold

I really want to love the watch but for some reason I don't like as much black as it shows. The gold is almost totally hidden. I think this greatly detracts from what could be an amazing piece.

126621 is a very underrated two-tone watch.

Yea and it got the new movement now. My friend bought it the other day (which made the AD sell me my Batman ) and it looked gorgeous on his wrist!

Adding a full PM bracelet is like adding 8k to the total so not just a few measly dollars.
The 116655 is beautiful. Saving that, its a great price point to put you into the PM arena.
Not as flashy as a full PM bracelet unless that is what you are looking for. Stealth wealth.

First Rolex with matte bezel
First Rolex on rubber strap
First Rolex with relief bezel
First Rolex with solid all Rosegold case
