If it were me, I'd go Sub. I get the appeal of the Speedmaster 50th, but I'm not a fan of the gimmicky "first step" dial and the unnatural patina. Just my .02.

Two completely different watches for different tasks.

Both. If not, then Sub. 100%. Good luck.

The Sub, definitely. Unbeatable classic, unbeatable everyday watch (I have a 23+ years 14060). But I do also like the Speedy, just not this particular variation...I´d buy a "normal" one, if you see what I mean!

Sub. It's a timeless watch. Speedy is great for an occasional wear as a part of the set, but if I were to keep only 1 watch in a collection, it is 114060 Sub without a doubt

The sub will make a great partner in life going anywhere and doing anything. The Speedmaster will be sitting in your hotel room while you’re snorkeling on the beach while worrying about what’s happening to your watch.
