New coach and some younger players now - hopefully we make it to the Eruro 2020 (I think we're hosting a few games as well).

Hope dies last haha. And as Romanians we're used to being hopeful
In the meantime, another WC in front of the TV.

On another note - I'm really liking what I'm seeing so far at this WC. Haven't heard of any organizational issues etc. either - like many were predicting (not sure why)

I agree ... some really good games and surprises so far!
Things are not going as predicted which make this WC
very entertaining/enjoyable to watch and fun ...

Hagi was a fabulous player. No arguments here.

Time to get all the classics going on a loop. World in Motion as per Teddy, natch. A bit of Black Grape too?

Hey diddle-diddle, there's a fella in the middle
And I think he's pulling my string
My wife's lactating and I'm spectating
It's a football thing

My god, these England fans

This Belgium Panama game is super physical, players are already looking exhausted.

0-0 at the half. Can't help but think Belgium will once again manage to underwhelm

Let's go England. I am going full hooligan today and wearing head-to-toe Stone Island

Seriously, I was wearing this stuff for years, then my UK friends tell me it's hooligan gear

Did you watch thus far, or just check the score? 0-0 isn't an accurate depiction whatsoever, Belgium has absolutely been ripping Panama to pieces, just nothing finished. I'm thinking 2:0 at end.

EDIT: Halfway there

EDIT2: and there's the 2nd. Will it hold?

As soon as the hooligans adopted it I started taking the badge off. Still love the quality of the clothes though. Some of the jackets I have quadrupled in price.

Haha I did - 3-0 is deserved. Though I thought Panama had an honorable performance.

Belgium is a good team. They actually looked the part, a lot of good action and it's only the first game. They're always underrated, when they're on, they're REALLY good.

Talent-wise, they're as good as any team at the WC. My point was they never manged to put it together at a major tournament, yet. We shall see

On a positive note they might set a record for most easy goal opportunities missed in a half.
