How can you call it the "newer" insert when you have not compared it to an "old" one?

Not hard to find any green bezel from Hulk to LV ceramic to VTNR all have the same color. Perhaps wait until you have the side by side before making assertions about what "potential for variation" etc the "new" one has?

You're right. I should shut up and not voice an opinion unless I have empirical evidence to back up my assertions.

This forum is all about pure fact after all and no one is allowed to express an opinion.

You're being too harsh on yourself. Nothing wrong with expressing an opinion but you don't come across as doing that.

You've bought a watch, taken some odd looking photos and stated you have a "new" one without "side by side" photos with an "old" one, which is in fact in the title of the thread.

My opinion, you are just adding to the confusion.

1) AD says he believes I have a MK2 dial but wanted to compare to be certain.

2) I have the watch on my wrist and the bezel looks nothing like the earlier models I've seen in person or photos of online.

I agree a side by side would be useful but notwithstanding I feel confident given what I have seen to suggest a) there are 2 bezel variations out there and b) I have the later version.

AD wanted to compare but didn't actually do that.

You can feel however you wish and perhaps you do have a "new" version but it wouldn't just be "useful" to have side by sides, it is critical to demonstrate and convince others.

At this point there is nothing left to say until normal looking side by side photos are provided.

The next one is later in the day very low light conditions

Based on those photos – especially the first two – it certainly looks like there's more yellow and less blue in the color compared with the MK1. That is, more green, less blue-green.

That'd make it more similar to the original Kermit – which to me would be GREAT, but I think it's strictly a matter of personal taste.

I thought side by side was posted on page 7 of this thread already.

You should seek out old and new versions to examine in hand yourself.

There’s no burden on anybody here to ‘convince others’ (or prove something to you).

Your last comment reads like ‘put up or shut up’ in my opinion.

Looks great JC180! And also different to my eye in these photos. But there will always be doubters so just enjoy your watch.

I like the Mk I bezel but think a lighter, more vibrant, variation is an improvement.

Thanks all. Loving it so far. Waited 2+ years for this. Granted I've had some nice watches in the interim from the same AD (SkyD, Daytona) but the manager at my AD jokingly always told me that as they'd sold me a Hulk in 2019 I wouldn't be getting the new LV. I complained they're different watches but he just laughed me off. Well, he left the AD at the end of Feb and a couple of months later it's on my wrist ;-). Lucky me!

Sorry, but until Rolex write to me personally formally announcing the change I cannot believe that the colour has changed.

I await their correspondence, until then it's all just YouTube and Tik Tok nonsense

So you have a Hulk to compare the bezels, let’s see the picture side by side.

From the AD Friday, to what looks to be an inside a right hand drive car shot Sunday, to the Far East Monday (today), too bad for us I suppose.

So MK1 is a Starbucks and the new MK2 is a Kermit reissue?

This thread is gold.

300+ posts and the bezel is confirmed to still be green!

After a many year wait, I was able to pick mine up at the AD last week. I like both hues, but glad I got the darker one.

This actually looks like a Mk III. Only way to tell for sure is light and temperature controlled photos next to a certified Mk I.

Was about to say the same. It looks like it has the yellow undertone of the MKII

I like the darker green way better. I owned the 12LV and that green was dark enough to match with most things. The lime green would be tough to match. Plus I just like darker colors better.

When I got mine one year ago yesterday, I found it breathtaking and still feel the same everytime I put it on. The nicknames are soooo lame…
