I am really enjoying mine. I probably could have done without seeing the for-sale price on this one as someone who recently purchased from a boutique though lol

Pretty amazing that this is at a MSRP that is 2/3 the price of the 5740/1G. And Patek keeps raising prices.

It looks absolutely amazing on you!

I've been weighing this vs. a 5740. The 5740 wears better on my smaller wrist but if the VC perpetual secondary price gets low enough I may jump on it.

Thank you!

I understand your thought process. I did a lot of thinking before buying this watch. And when it came down to it, when comparing this with a 5740, I tried to be objective, so removing hype and secondary market values.

And my conclusion is that I find the overall watch design, the incredible blue dial with slightly differentiated blue subdials, and the extremely versatile and useful strap system clear advantages that make the VC QP the easy choice for me.

I also asked myself many a time: How is the 5740/1G $151,400 and the VC QP is $102,000? The 5740 is either way overpriced or the VC QP is underpriced..

Finally, if both were offered to me at the same time, I just couldn’t see myself paying $50,000 more for the 5740. YMMV.

But still a Vacheron.

Congrats. The Oversea perpetual and Traditionnelle Tourbillon is such a killer combo!

Many congrats on this beauty. This is my grail watch. IMO, there is no better watch than this timepiece. Please continue to post more pics!

What do you guys prefer, the blue 4500 or 7900? I have the 4500 and don’t know if I wanna trade it with the DT 7900

I'm for the Dual Time 9 times out of 10, especially since it's just $5000 more or so over the time-only at retail.

I think both the looks and functionality put it over the top.

However, if buying secondary, the price gap does spread, so that 1 time out of 10 would be if the price gap is too broad.

You think it’s fair trade if I trade the 4500 for the DT? Now money I the middle.

Both amazing but unobstructed beauty of the dial and better case proportions would make me stay in the 4500. I would not make that trade. I'd trade up to the rose gold 4500 though

I would stay with the 4500v because of the better proportion. It wears and sits perfectly on the wrist (at least mine). Having said that, I am trying to complete my trio of OVS as I patiently wait for the 7900v.

Have owned both, prefer the thinner 4500v.

Thanks a lot guys for your opinion and help.

From the beginning i preferred the 4500 more than the 7900 because i experienced the dail messy with many hands. But now I really like it.

I will for sure think about it.

Original red rubber strap for Overseas

Hi all - new to the forum, and happy owner of two overseas (dual time black face, and self winding blue face :)

Question: does anyone know what the original OEM red rubber straps that VC released as a limited run last year are worth in the secondary market? My VC contact tells me they are highly sought after - any idea what I should expect to have to pay for a factory mint / unused set? Thank you!

Tell your sales you would like one and you should be able to get it.
My SA tells me they are not limited edition but limited production. So you just need to wait.

I went to a boutique yesterday which carried both this black dial and the blue dial. My wife is Asian and her wrists are small but this still fit quite beautifully. We ended up getting the blue one though. We both felt the blue one looked nicer in real life. It's not a very girly watch but still beautiful.
