All the time, my CEO wears a Breitling. Even if he wore a Timex I would still wear my Rolex. Must be tough working for someone who would hold it against you for having a nicer watch than them.

After the honeymoon stage with my Rolex Sub, which was only a month I wore my watch everyday to work and at home. The only time I take it off is when I go to sleep then wear it again the first thing I wake up in the morning. I wore it one time to bed and when I stretched out my hand, I hear a clunk. I hit my watch at the head board of the bed so after that I never wore my watch when I go to sleep.

I'm my own boss so it doesn't matter, however when I worked in the corporate sector I wore a Sea Dweller on a nylon strap fairly regularly. No one ever commented or said a word, which worked fine by me. The biggest thing is that YOU have to wear the watch not let it wear you.

No, I work in security and at times it can become very physical. I've broken my watch 4 times over the years but thank the lord they weren't my rolexes.

I work in a major nyc law firm and I wear one of my Rolex watches almost every day. If I know I'm working work lots of boxes of documents, I will wear my Orient Mako on a black rubber strap as I am a little protective about my nicer watches.

I almost never wear the Daytona to work though. And on working weekends I favor my Sub.

The only 2 people who wear a Rolex around my work haven't take them off for 25+ years, one of them have never even had his serviced!? These one watch Rolex rockers have been my inspiration for years, now I'm patiently waiting my upcoming promotion in June so I can reward myself with my first and possibly only daily Rolex.

Yup. Everyday. I know my boss/owner could care less...my DD and Bluesy were gifts from him. He never wore a watch until this year as his wife gave him a Shinola from Christmas.

Must agree.......the vast majority of people probably don't notice. There are literally thousands upon thousands of Rolex out there worn by all persons. Unless the watch is particularly flash or ostentatious, most people would just see it as another nice sports watch without coming to any real conclusion or view.

I wear 1 of my 3 watches to work everyday as it was bought by my old boss who gifted one after 5 years service. He has since sold the company to a bigger FTSE100 company and that perk has obviously disappeared. He bought me a Subc and my now boss a millgauss who never wears it - no way I won't be wearing mine just because he keeps his for special occasions.

I don't think it should matter what watch your boss wears, the managing director of my company doesn't wear any watch and is the least materialistic person I've ever met, £200k+ salary and drives a Ford Fiesta, of everyone followed the rule of not upstaging your boss, nobody on my company would spend any money.

My other two, BLNR (which I bought myself for my 30th) gets kept for weekends if I'm going out and my omega seamaster (which my father bought me) gets kept for special family occasions.

I'm comfortable wearing any of my Rolexes or APs anywhere - work, weekends, holidays...my watches my decision - 99% of people don't know or care anyway.

Found this even more so wearing a Patek - just be comfortable in your own skin!

This is true!

My technical boss, along with the boss of the company, don't wear any watches so it's only little old me who wears something on his wrist everyday.

Talking about being interested in a Rolex last week raised a few eyebrows in the office but I don't have kids, don't have expensive hobbies and am settled with my Wife after we brought our new house 3 years ago. I felt it was time I spoiled myself again after getting my Tag Heuer McLaren F1 last year!

When I pick up my Rolex, it'll become my daily watch and ideally, will never leave my side. :)

Someone made a comment to me last week about "being rich cause look your watch, says Rolex" to which I replied "rich no, far from it but you have kids right? They cost, what, like $30k per year??" ... Mic dopped.

I agree. You should be able to wear your watch when you want. Who cares about people. At work place it shows that you are able to manage your $$$ better than others

I usually wear my 3 "good" watches, Rolex DJ, Tudor BBB and Grand Seiko in regular rotation work or not. No one notices. My wife wears an Apple Watch (I can't convince her to wear a Rolex) everyone notices.

Interesting perspectives here -- never occurred to me not to wear my Rolex to work, but I've only owned it for two weeks (I commit the unforgivable fashion crime of wearing my Sub with a suit!). My boss wears an Explorer, and his boss wears a Patek when he wears a watch at all, and my two coworkers in my department at my level wear a Tag and an Omega Aqua Terra. My workplace is definitely the wild west for watches -- everything from no watch, to Apple, to some G-Shocks, to some really nice watches, so I guess I'm fortunate in that nobody would care at all what I wore to the extent anybody even noticed my watch.

the people worrying about their boss thinking they are over paid must not be in sales. Whatever I make, my company makes 90% more. Finance is happy to write my commission checks. In fact, if they didn't write me checks- they'd fire my butt in a heart beat.
