Congratulations on what will no doubt be a fantastic day.
I got married a month ago and the watch budget went up so I hope it does for you as well. Just have a ball!!! P.S do you have a Red wedding suit to match the RM039 strap? |

AP owners shy at the thought of wearing the AP white Diver, but RM owners are happy to rock a white ceramic or even a white strap on there 11's.
im only an AP owner currently and have moved from Rolex but would love to get to the RM game. its one of those things that ignorance is bliss and if I never knew RM existed I would be able to enjoy my AP more. Someone on here said it perfectly and I too feel a RM is like a McLaren P1 or Koenigsegg. Do you think its worth stepping into a RM010 from the natural AP Royal Oak line, or should a wait a few more years to get an 11 and the RM010 step isn't worth it? |

Thanks everyone. Yes need to have red suit made for the big day on Easter Saturday as I forgot to change the watch before leaving for the airport. Haha! If I did wear a red suit I suspect the bride would not show up!
Re the other posts obviously I am biased but since buying more RMs I wear APs much less and indeed have sold a lot as they never get worn. And this coming from a huge AP fan. |

Hmmm thanks guys. ill just keep enjoying my AP until I can jump right into an 11. thanks for the first hand experience guys.
Ill keep living through this fantastic thread which is giving me so much enjoyment. I cant imagine the enjoyment of owning one. One day id love to see one in the wild. sometimes I give my watches to my friends to wear so I can sit across the dinner table and look at them in the wild. Theres only so many angles you can view it from on your own wrist. Roger what watch are you going to wear on your big day? im not in the super high end but I actually choose to wear one of my Submariners on a black nato strap, as when I view my wedding pics I know that watch will not date and matched my black suit and white gold cuff links and tie pin. I see you in one of your Patek's but are you Patekless at the moment waiting for you new orders? Lets hope its an RM so I haven't lead this RM thread astray by talking about other watches haha. |

ive just landed my AP ROO 44mm this morning and yes its lovely but I think I need to aim for an RM. The AP jusssssssssttt doesn't do it for me. Still I feel better moving from my previous gold Rolex though. The AP is very "elegant" in RG but as a young fella I think I need the interesting viewing a RM provides.
What is the next cheapest RM I can step into after a RM010? does the RM028 have more street cred than the RM010 or pretty much the same thing? In the Rm011 range, what is the cheapest model. is there a Ti non limited edition that I should aim for? |

Thanks everyone. I am stuck with my 39 for the wedding as is it the only one I brought to Thailand and I am not in a part of the country where I can easily buy a 5970P or similar for the special day!
Edo that 22 looks awesome! 5 pieces? Re the other question, I think the 28 is less favoured as it not their signature tonneau shape, however, I have owned several and still own one and I love it!! |
