Did you buy that Daytona on the gray market?

Yes…. Gray market. Purchased it the same day grey market fellow picked it up from AD in Dubai.

On another note:
I just purchased a BNIB Platinum fluted bezel DD 36 with baguettes from a grey market dealer who just got it from his AD a week ago. The amazing fact is that I purchased at a price 18% below the current listed ROLEX RETAIL PRiCE!

Either the grey market is really collapsing… or AD’s are having major difficulty moving high end watches these days.

Clearly things seem to be cooling off…. price wise!

Great to see these old DD2 pics in the wild. Do the black letters (whether roman or arabic) contrast too much with the platinum case and ice blue face? Or not at all when actually on the wrist?

Papers are dated 1999. It's in almost NOS condition. It still has the sticker on the caseback. I picked it up from The Keystone recently. They were awesome btw.
