Once you get one.......it is basically impossible to not want another one.

They have such a high level of fit and finish that it makes them very easy to enjoy. They are the best value in my opinion.

I have owned and worn consistently only one Rolex for over 30 years, a 1978 1665. I do appreciate, to a degree, other watches but to be honest I regard them as junk. While I am considering a change this will only be another Rolex. Nothing else interests me so that's it.

I gifted two Rolex’s and a Tudor to my sons which left me without a Rolex for a few years.
I was lucky enough to get a new Sub a few months ago and rejoin the club.

I've worn my very first Rolex 116300 Datejust II daily for almost 7-8 years, still in rotation today.

I have only one Rolex (and a Tudor). I don't subscribe to the approach of owning more than 1 watch from a single brand at the same time. My ExpII completely scratches the Rolex itch.

I don’t but I do fantasize about this… and it would have to be a 5 digit GMT, Explorer II or a Sub.

I have a friend who lives on a catamaran and sails the world. He only wears a Sub. He uses it to time things, and keep track of the day.

I once asked him if he’d choose any other, he said he couldn’t live without timing things with his bezel. While he uses a Garmin on his other wrist, there’s moments he literally can’t fuss with it and defaults to his left wristed Sub.

Anyway, it’s an interesting question…

Bought this August of 2020 and its been the only watch I've worn since. Granted, the only other watches I own is a SKX and a G-Shock (both used for specific sports/activities).

Only one Rolex in the collection at the moment. Have owned a half dozen (mainly Subs) over time, particularly when they were easier to buy and premiums weren’t nuts. On some waiting lists for other models, but not sweating it these days. Enjoying other brands.

I do. Simply because it was my late Dads.

It was bought for him with the knowledge / intention I would get it on his passing.

He gave it to me a number of year's before his passing as he knew I was a watch guy.

No other Rolex could mean as much so that's why it's my only watch from the brand.

I have had watches from may great brands including Patek, VC and AP. All sold. Have found this simple date just plus my tutor gmt are all I need

Yes I did back when I was starting out in my career. In 1978 after a year or so in my first real job after completing college, I bought a Rolex two-tone Datejust that I wore everyday for the next 23 years. It was my GADA watch, probably before that term was even coined, because I was old school and only needed one watch since I could only wear one watch at a time. In 2001 I decided it was time to get a new watch so I bought a Speedmaster and started my first daily watch rotation. I don't have the DJ anymore since I gave it to my adult son, but I still have only one Rolex since I added a 114270 Explorer to my rotation.

My Mark 1 214270 is my first and only Rolex and currently my only mechanical watch.

I have one Rolex, a 16610 sub bought new in 1998. If I ever decide to get another it most likely will be another 5 digit. I do have other watches but the Rolex is my favorite.

Also, that 36mm steel dial OP was a watch I considered too, if I had a smaller wrist I might have gone that way, great choice!
If I could only have one, that would be it!!

I started with SubC date 116610LN and later added white dial DJ41 which can cope with almost all situation.

Aside of these two I also have two Quartz: tag heuer aquaracer and Luminox that I also enjoy when I have rough outdoor day.

I bought a SS Air King with Roman Numerals in 1999 & wore it 24/365 for 23 years...until I bought a YG Day Date 36 in January.
