GMT Master with black bezel

The GMT hand and the hour hand are not quickset like the GMT Master II, but I set the date ahead beyond 31 days more often than I travel to other time zones. I wear it 24/7. I had a two tone blue sub, but I am a GMT guy. I can read the black dial better than the blue dial, at a glance. I use the GMT hand for Eastern time zone (+1) ...since my business HQ and some family are there; I live Central time zone.

I was a CFO but got tired of working for large companies - endless travel, no time with family. Took a few years off knowing that "retirement" wouldn't stick while I was still in my 30's. Started a couple companies 2.5 years ago in a new and growing sector.

Watches:

2001/2002 day-date President
2005/2006 Submariner Stainless
2013 Daytona Stainless

Since I had a life change I'll post again: retired from the military and government, and recently moved to La Jolla CA to enjoy the good life. Proud parent of a Platona and Hulk.

Is there a typo in the word that comes after "professional''?

No matter, nice watch!

Which Rolex(es) do you own and what do you do for a living???

1984 DJ
2005 Explorer ii

30 years old and I'll let Paul Harvey describe my job:

Of all men, I am the most needed and the most unwanted. A strangely nameless creature who is "sir" to my face and "fuzz" to my back.

I must be such a diplomat that I can settle differences between individuals so that each will think he won.

But...If I am neat, I'm conceited; if I'm careless, a bum. If I'm pleasant, I'm flirting;if not, just a grouch.

I must make an instant decision which would require months for a lawyer to make.

But...If I hurry, I'm careless; if I deliberate, I'm lazy. I must be first to an accident and infallible with my diagnosis. I must be able to start breathing, stop bleeding, tie splints and, above all, be sure the victim goes home without a limp. Or expect to be sued.

I must know every gun, draw on the run, and hit where it doesn't hurt. I must be able to whip two men twice my size and half my age without damaging my uniform and without being "brutal". If you hit me, I'm a coward. If I hit you, a bully.

I must know everything-and not tell. I must know where all the sin is and not partake.

From a single strand of hair, I must be able to describe the crime, the weapon and the criminal- and tell you where the criminal is hiding.

But...If I catch the criminal, I'm lucky; if I don't, I'm a dunce. If I get promoted, I have political pull; if I don't, I'm a dullard. I must chase a bum lead to a dead-end, stake out ten nights to tag one witness who saw it happen-but then refuses to remember.

I must be a minister, a social worker, a diplomat, a tough guy AND a gentleman.

I have to tell kids to turn off their Xbox because a parent doesn't know how, then respond to a scene that will give me horrific dreams.

These dreams will make me wake up sweating one night, and my wife has to calm me to let me know it's all right.

I love my job, and wouldn't change it.

I am merely a policeman.

~sorry a version of one of my favorite "poems."
