I’ve never seen that in (somewhat) normal lighting. Incredible.

Tried these on. Quite amazing. Platinum Double Split for about $90k absolutely shocked me. I thought they were at least double that given the complexity. You really can’t capture the depth of the movement in pictures. I was in Chicago and there’s more going on in that movement than there are buildings and streets in that city.

Which also creates my conundrum– I want to give Lange my money. My personal experience with their sales motion was the first time I went ‘yep, you earned every dollar of that commission’. But, I deeply prefer their quirky older pieces beyond the Lange 1 and Saxonia thin blue copper dial (or however you call it).

So in summary Lange please bring back the Gen 1 Datong:

Great pics! Where did you see these in Chicago? I've been searching for a 101.029 (the old luminous) for a while!

Burdeen’s downtown and at their HQ a bit outside of the city. They are super friendly and have an excellent stock of diverse watches. Jewelry too if you’re into that.

My current daily. I just love how having the lume makes it that tad bit sportier that you can comfortably wear this with sweats or hoodies.

I think that’s the exact Lange to have. Clean expression of the design and agree about the lume. Would love to have one some day

I’ll take a Lange spread over a thanksgiving spread any Thursday.

Great collection. Which pieces do you find yourself wearing most often?

Anyone have the Little Lange with the aventurine dial? Been eyeing one and wonder how it wears on the wrist.

too small for me to wear and i have a small wrist (6.5"), though i also think the 1815 in 37.5 is right on the border of what i would wear.

that said, beautiful watch. saw on a thread that they stopped taking orders for the time being fyi.

I have it on my wish list and tried it on - imo it wears pretty well my wrist is around 7 inches

I think the size of the LL1 is fine nice change given I usually prefer a larger watch

Agree, i think it looks great on your wrist. i didn't take a photo of the LL1 on my wrist but to illustrate my point, here's the 1815 MP (37.5mm) on my (6.5") wrist. I thought the LL1 MP (36.8mm) wore too small.

Assuming we are both measuring accurately (which very well could be the case, i have a flatter wrist) all the questioner needs to do is source a 1st gen Platinum Zeitwerk and an 1815 moonphase and they should be able to triangulate an answer. =D On a more serious note, maybe its my poor vision, but i am surprised at how similarly the zeitwerk (41.9mm?) wears for you as the LL1 in your photos.

For sure there is a difference it’s just that the ZW pic was taken while I was in the car so closer and the LL1 was taken from a bit of a distance
