I have a question for YM owners... Does the 116622 weigh more than the 16622? I own a DJII, which replaced a DJ and one of the things I like most about the DJII is it weighs more than the DJ. I recently tried on a YM 16622 and was surprised at how light it was. I'm turning 40 this year and am looking at the 116622, but only if it's heavier. I haven't had a chance to get over to an AD to try one on, so I'm hoping those who own one can advise. Thanks in advance!

i've got a hunch that the 16623 will receive an update anytime soon.... i love the SS/YG Blue dial but what's stopping me from pulling the trigger is the clasp and buckle... i prefer the modern ones found on the Exp II 42mm and the 116622 models.

New YM Owner

After wearing my 16550 EXPII for so many years my wife convinced me to purchase a new Rolex. The local AD showed an 18K and SS Yacht Master with white dial to me. I hesitate until he said $9,500 out the door. Thirty minutes later I was driving down to road with a new watch on my wrist. Here is the rub: After my wife looked at my new watched she promptly said may I have the Explorer? I should have known....

Excellent deal and congrats! I bought mine on holiday in the Bahamas and couldn't even get a deal like that!

My guess would be yes. Since the 116622 has an upgraded clasp which feels heavier than the clasp of the 16622. Even though it may be heavier, you probably won't notice the difference.

I need an other dive-like watch like I need a hole in the head, but I sure do like that mono-chrome, silvery look.

Nice watches, all.

Not a tool watch, more like a a dressy sports watch with bits of platinum to give it a touch of class. A hybrid animal fit for any occasion.
