I'm absolutely delighted to join this club after picking one up last week. It's simplicity gives it such a clean look and beauty in spades.

Looking at these pics.....if I didn't have one already I'd be on my way to the AD to get. Stunning photos.

Hi everyone,
Not been active for a while now but I always lurk and enjoy reading the posts. Well I could not help myself and after owning a Sub date ceramic I have falling in love with the non date version. In my opinion a lot cleaner looking and more true to the original sub. I banged £1000 down today for my AD to find me one. I will be back with my images as soon as they find my new friend. |

Here's mine from vacation in Maine! At the top of Cadillac Mountain. The girlfriend immediately laughed and called me a nerd when she saw what I was doing

Buying Questions from a Non 114060 Owner
Hello to all of you. New member and first post. I have a couple of questions that will help me with purchasing this wonderful watch. By the way, the photos throughout this thread are very motivational.
I'm asking here because many of you may have gone through the same thought process as me. Have recently retired with a bucket list which includes owning this Rolex. It will be my first and maybe the last. I could go to my local Rolex dealer and pay the $7,500 plus sales tax (CA resident) and be done with it. But saving some money on a major purchase seems a good idea. Or is it? Is one better off buying "new" from a reputable dealer assuming the watch will be worn and loved for the long term? I assume there are out of state dealers that would sell without imposing CA sales tax. Are offers available at various online sites that sell "new unworn" at prices below stated retail safe? How would one go about buying used and be satisfied if you don't mind nominal wear created by someone else. Lastly, are there "ways" of buying/owning that I'm not even considering? Thanks again for the great photos and any advice offered would be appreciated. |

Well ,....the actual insert appears to be flat, but it's fitted into the bezel at a downward angle giving a sort of pseudo domed appearance.
Also,....since there are so many stock 114060 Sub ND's pictured, how about one with a little different look. Once you go black,......you'll never go back! I believe I've heard said. My version of black on black crime perhaps,....but I'm digging it for now. My original Glidelock bracelet is safely tucked away,........ preserving it's highly inflated value! I will wear this 24mm (originally before i cut to fit and enlarged the pin bar holes slightly) $35.00 Bonetto Cinturino Model 300D in Nitrile Rubber for my water sports days,......and a custom leather deployment black strap most days once it comes in. I wrote Bonetto Cinturino last night linking the thread I started with the struggles to get this set up,....in hopes they might someday build one up to easily fit to the 114060 and similar. The Rubber B bands are nice,....but I'm NOT paying the same for molded rubber as I did for a hand made custom Horween Leather deployment one handmade by Andreas Müller. The last 3 pics shows a band similar to one he's making for me,...but mine has a plain clasp and black thread on black leather. ......I love the skived tapered thickness of that strap starting near lugs at 6mm thick. (and just under $300.00 delivered reasonable in my mind for the work involved) |

About to throw some filets on, the bezel on the SubC is a great timer.
The other tools are a bit older, been in my family for 3 generations. 👍🏼 Sent from my iPhone6 |

This is my favorite Sub. Finally got around to purchasing one. Missing a sports Rolex in my collection. This is the best one for me. Should have it in a couple of days.
