Went from 3, to 2 recently and now down to one. I am not saying I won’t ever add again, but I don’t really know what else I would “need” other than my 126610LN!

Old thread, but yes!

The only watch I own is my white gold Submariner 126619LB.

Absolutely. A Milgauss 116400GV in black. The only Rolex I ever cared for. Glad I got one before today :)

The only Rolex I have, as of now, is my 214270. One of the first Rolex watches I bought yet thought I needed more and more. Wish I had just stuck with that one hah.

I thought the new Explorer 40 would change that but I am unsure if it is worth the upgrade.

With the releases I’m seeing today on the forum I’m pretty much on my way to sell most of my Rolex and disconnect from this forum. It makes me want to puke. I’ll keep my Pepsi GMT and forget about the rest.

Does anyone own/wear only one Rolex?

Have owned multiple Rolexes over the last 10 years. But really got tired of the AD experience to the point it turned me off to the modern iteration of the brand entirely. Had an AD badly scratch a brand new 126613LB that I purchased from them last month (they tore it up after sizing but before it left the store) and then told me if I wanted to return the watch, it would harm my ability to purchase from them in the future. That was a final nail in the coffin for me. I don’t need to act grateful to purchase a scratched up watch for $16k.

I currently have 7 watches and have sold off two Rolexes with only a 16600 SD remaining. Enjoying other brands from a horological and customer experience perspective.

I love the idea of just one watch. But can’t seem to bring myself to it.

My current ‘one and only’. I did own a Z.Blue Milgauss too which I bought with money left to me by my maternal grandmother. That though I’ve gifted to my mum. She loves it’s colours but found too heavy on the bracelet so she’s popped it on a blue Everest rubber strap and alternates between it and her Breitling on orange rubber strap. She’s a fairly vibrant colours 70 year old.

now only a 114270 and a 6694.

The 114270 is special as I wore that for my mum's funeral.

I wear my 116900 every day. My first Rolex 14000 from 1993 (fresh service) is my back up.

I own a 126200 DJ that I love - that being said I'd eventually love another but I'd feel more comfortable only owning one at a time, so it'd have to be something absolutely perfect.

Two for me. Probably the closest I'm ever going to get as I can't see ever having less than one dress and one sport Rolex (DJ41 & SD43)

I wore my first Datejust for a dozen years before picking up my second Rolex.

I always wanted a GMT Master II. My father owned a GMT Master (1981). In 2012, I finally picked up a GMT Master II for myself. I went with the TT, because I wanted something a little flashier than SS. Almost a decade later, may father sadly passed away and I inherited his GMT Master. I had it restored and wear it in his memory.

Just one as well. I tend to buy other toys that have wheels on them instead of watches.

I decided a couple of years ago to save a little bit each month to put towards the Rolex fund. After several months, I had enough to pay for my new OP!! I don’t regret buying this watch and it has been with me everyday whether it’s in the office, in the woods, or fishing on the river. I don’t baby it (too much!) and plan to hold onto it for a lifetime.

Is there anyone else out there who only owns or wears ONE watch everyday? If so, let’s see it!

I’ve got a couple, but only ever wear my 36mm steel explorer now. In fact, all of my other watches remain unworn. The explorer just seems to be what I want to wear everyday.

Love stories like this. There's something to the simplicity of being a one-watch person

I could have stopped at my YM 116622, which is perfect to me. Thing is I couldn't resist adding the SD43 and TT blue Sub. I strongly believe one Rolex in the collection is enough, though.

I own two watches, but I only own one Rolex currently. Mostly due to my wanting to still have funds to enjoy my other hobbies as well as do fun things and travel with my family.
If the funds allowed, I'm sure I would have a few.

I had only one for years that I wore everyday from 2017 until now. 116610ln.
Until about the last 2 months I’ve added 2 more pieces.
To be honest, one is enough and I’ve always felt that way.
The lady has finally taken a liking, she’s always liked watches and worn them, however she now has began wearing my black sub, and I have to say she looks stunning with it.
So, I had to purchase another for myself to wear, which led to a 3rd about 2 weeks later lol.

Had a lone sub from 2019 - 2023. Then added a TT Daytona, but two watches ... just didn't work for me, so in April, traded both back down to one piece: a 20-year-old gold Daytona 116518.

There is, however, a problem with owning just one watch, as I recently left it in for a service and was disheartened to hear that the service would take ten weeks. TEN WEEKS!

The HORROR!

Well, ok, first-world problem, of course, so without superlatives, I was trying to think of how to phrase how ... unpleasant it feels to wait 10 weeks for the return of your only watch. And the best I came up with is this: it's like eating a meal without salt. A delicious meal without salt is still a tasty, delicious meal. But ... it's gargantuanly clear that something's missing. So it is without my watch. Life's great! Every day is a pleasure. But ... it's gargantuanly clear that something's missing.
