Happy to have joined the Submariner club. Here are some pictures of my 114060, these were posted in a different thread earlier, but I thought why not post them here as well :)

My preference has always been for the older five digit sports models and I have not really warmed to the newer releases (I previously tried and flipped both the Explorer 216570 and SD4000). I picked up a 114060 Sub new from AD a couple of weeks back and must say I am very pleased with it. Simple straightforward design and looks, yet with latest Rolex technology inside. It 'wears' ever so slightly bigger than my other Subs and SDs, but still feels pretty good. Very nice watch indeed and would recommend anyone to give one a try.

Glad to see this thread going!
In the past, I never paid too much attention to the 14060 as my preference was the 16610, but for some unknown reason, when the 114060 came out, I slowly began to like that watch more and more to a point where I now find it more appealing than the 116610 and 16610. |

Best looking "basic" watch on planet earth IMO, with the Speedy Pro a very close second. Of course now we have the Black Bay, too, for a fancier variation.

Great photos kohe321! Do you do much postprocessing to get these results? Do you use a polarizing filter? I find it difficult to handle the reflections from the crystal

Thanks! I haven't used a polarizing filter for these photos, but they were taken in soft light from either an overcast sky or from being near a window inside, so there wasn't much need for post processing to control the highlights on these. Controlling the light is one of the most important things, it's one of the key things that completely makes or breaks a picture. With regards to reflections, if a reflection or glint is completely blown out coming from the camera it won't look good no matter how much you drag it back in post.

Had the 16610 and 116610 in the past...but I'm thinking this will be THE SUB that stays in the collection.

Had the 14060M. Flipped it for the 114060. At first regretted it. But this Sub C really grew on me and it's beautiful. It's the only watch ever wear now.
