That is the process. I was talking to my boutique about it yesterday. Surprisingly they were explaining that most clients haven't had an issue with it. Two clients have received their first choice and the third had not. They were saying that most are just happy to get one.

I certainly have an issue with it. There is a specific 67-02 that I want and I am not willing to pay for it and have a random one show up- especially when I already bought one grey. It's an extremely frustrating process, especially when you have a huge purchase history. I will keep you posted as to what happens and if I am able to actually order the one I want.

If I am not able to, I am just going to go grey. It's not worth the risk and the wait to "possibly" get what you want.

Thanks... I find it pretty bananas. I’m still on the fence. Which 67-02 do you fancy, I think the Ogier is my easy first choice - but I sadly do secretly like the pink/red one. The upcoming 67 chrono kinda gives me pause about ordering one of these at full bore and going through this whole random process.

Curious - where are grey prices on these in reality ?

Wouldn’t the smart move be to get the 67-02 at retail, and if it’s not the color you want flip it to a grey for the one you do?

Here is another shot of probably unique Le Clerc 67-02...

That assumes all variants are equally as desirable and thus command the same grey price. The grey dealer would also have to be nice and let you swap without paying his p&l (difference on trade in value and purchase price).

Agreed. I doubt it would be a straight swap but it seems like even the ugliest version is asking well above retail. Though, I’m curious are green 67-02s really selling to greys over retail?

Did they explain why it's not possible to order a specific color like you can with other models?

Seeing that some go for 5k over retail and others 70k, swapping it just wont work. I have the Ogier already.

Incoming lol. They don’t have a small strap so the kid couldn’t walk out with it. She really was hoping to wear it. Separately, as we left RM to go pick up my sandals from Hermes, the Hermes sales person surprised her with a Kelly that she kept for months...

I feel neglected with my sandals.

Here’s the watch.

I feel like I got nothing except a place in line for the 67-02. Later this year lol

They need to check on a small rubber strap for the kid or we’ll use the Velcro strap. Watch is likely going to shift to her go to watch when the rubber/Velcro comes.

Until then. I’ll probably wear it for a bit

Also, it is idiotic to want to get $20k back when you are spending a million a pop on a Tourb. I know some of those folks, they don't care to make a quick $20k profit when they earn $20k in a few minutes (or less) based on their business ventures.

There are two different levels of RM collectors and that is where the dichotomy exists.

The pieces I want, are a joke to those who can afford the tourbs- I’m just not there financially.

These aren’t 20k gains- they are 75k+ gains, and this is exactly how it is sold to these people! Ask them!

Great addition John, wear it in great health... do you prefer this gummy velcro strap, or the standard velcro you put on black 67-02?

Personally don't really care.

Wouldn't impact me and I think it wouldn't impact most RM owners.

I think if you like a watch and can afford it, you should buy it. If you end up losing on it down the track, well, I'd put it down to the cost of your enjoyment.
