Loved my Gen2 chrono and tried to buy it back a few times. It is the quintessential Daytona beater IMO and excellent value for money

Did anyone notice the price increase on 4500V? Wasn't following the other models' pricing.

Question to the OS owners, perhaps specifically the Gen3 Dual Time. I have noticed during quarantine rotating this with another watch (or none), that the power reserve doesn't really hold up to the 60 hrs. Now I thought it could be due to less movement on my part (I suppose), sitting at the desk being mostly inside the house.
However, even if I give it 40-50 spins on the crown, it takes quite a bit to get going, and I'll say it stands still after 40 hours. My AP RoC with 42 hrs off. PR feels like it usually runs longer than that and so that is how I noticed. No real information in the manual as to how far it can be wound. The Overseas crown is very smooth and easy, completely different to an AP that takes some effort to turn, whatever that says. Not too concerned, love the piece and timekeeping as such is basically perfect - I don't really look at it much, but when I set it, it'll be about the same a day or two later. I will probably run by VC Zurich sometime in June or July when I go back to office. What's all your experiences with that? |

To all you gen 3 chrono owners, do they have the same date dial as the non-chrono, font and all? I examined the non-chrono the other day, and thought the font choice was weird, and too small. It's the one thing that bothers me about this watch. Does anyone else feel the same way?
Worst case scenario -- is this something that can be replaced with a higher quality custom aftermarket date wheel someday in the future? I don't know how these things work, but figured I'd ask my stupid questions anyway in this safe space. |

I think the 5500V was originally priced even higher, actually, and they adjusted it down. Also, keep in mind that this is a watch you may be able to get a bit below MSRP depending on the AD, especially these days. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

For those of you that own the Gen 3 Dual Time, have you had any issues? I am considering one for my next purchase but read (on another site) about a "known" problem with the movement and terrible service experiences with Richemont. The problem occurs just before midnight and noon when the AM/PM indicator is trying to switch. The entire movement locks up. Anyone had this issue?

Thank you for your reply. I am really taken with the versatility of the Gen 3 Overseas and am considering a silver dial Dual Time (I have blue and black dials well covered in my collection).

Picked up a couple of weeks ago and added a blue strap at the boutique on Friday - really loving it.

Anyone know what size screwdriver to use for the bracelet links?
For reference Rolex oyster is 1.60 mm. That seems a little big, but I'm not sure how much bigger. Nearest VC AD is quite far but it's closed anyhow right now :( |

Curious given this is a Rolex forums (as this is a dilemma I have myself)...
Do owners of both A) use Rolex everyday and keep VC for better occasions B) use VC everyday C) mix it up I have an gen 1 overseas chrono and love it... (favorite watch) But I think my Datejust 16200 is a better everyday watch.... I'm torn by not using a technically better watch (and more expensive) everyday and whether that is a waste? Any thoughts Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
