How much is the carbon bezel? I would keep with the GP strap, the grey schumi will look weird on this and ruin the color flow.

I'd just get a new carbon bezel because your pushers are carbon. Ceramic won't match.

New carbon is $500 cheap considering. I might put the GPC strap on. The ceramic would look great as the pushers have a ceramic outline which glint & looks great. We shall see, enjoying the watch for now.

Carbon bezels do this, that's why AP only charge $500 to replace it, it's also why they offer the ceramic option.

But from what? Being hit? Or just from a shirt cuff constantly rubbing up against it? If this is true then all the FC cases should be doing this as well if their carbon is that delicate. Or if on the new 44mm FC they fixed this issue of the bezel being delicate, they should make new cases.

But for 500 bucks I mean who cares I guess at that point. Might as well just replace it every 2 years or so.

A buddy of mine got the ceramic bezel on his GPC with black date wheel. Here are some of his pics. He's actually on TRF as a member.

If you look at the bezel from the side you will see that there are vents cut into it (in line with the F1 theme). This design means that the bezel edges are very thin and deform over time.

That is interesting. How come they didn't find a way to make the FC then stronger so that even though it's thin there it would avoid it deforming?

The new tourbillons they just made have FC bezels even now.

Dude, it's not weird at all, it looks really good with the ceramic bezel, I saw it first hand at the AP museum in Le Brassus and I would defo like to own one. If you want to talk like you are the authority on AP then first become the authority, then people will know that you have to say is worth paying attention to.

I'm just giving my opinion on an aesthetic. Doesn't make me the "authority". And to me it looks better with the carbon bezel to match the carbon pushers and the carbon of the watch.

If it was me, I'd just pay the 500 every 2-3 years to replace. My opinion.

You know I thought it was going to look weird but in those picture it matches the carbon's grey pretty nicely. And with the gold it works.
