I am too lazy to try to get these in one picture. One of the FPJs will probably be out soon, and eventually a PAM will be in. Some great collections in this thread. Thanks for sharing.

Nice collection! How long was the wait for the RO 15500?

I may be repeating myself, but I find your collection is very well thought out and balanced. Really outstanding job of curating. About your YG Daytona: Does it get a lot wrist time? Do you ever wear it with short sleeves? Does it draw attention? Any other observations you have about it?

Thanks buddy. So, that's a Jumbo. It's a first gen 15202 from 2008. I can't be much help on the 15500.

Hey Bill. As always, appreciate the warm comments. I think I am a touch overweight on "dress watches," as I went nuts on Journe (what's not to love about Journe right?). I think for my wearing needs one of them may need to go, as I really want a Panerai on rubber to get the collection just so. I am pretty happy with everything, but as you know a little tweak here or there can be worth it.

So, yellow gold Daytona. Being honest, it probably gets the least amount of wrist time in the collection. That is not a reflection of the quality of the watch, but rather my life and lifestyle. If I am grabbing brunch at a nice place I will usually reach for the Jumbo, the Urban Jurgensen, or one of the Journes first. I do quite love it when I wear it, I just don't find the right times enough. What I need is the sports car I am missing to make that watch have the perfect excuse for pulling it out.

When I do wear it nobody stares, but it is an in your face watch imo. Which is actually pretty cool tbh. You wouldn't buy that watch if you gave a damn what anyone else thought I suppose. I have zero plans to get rid of it, because it has something that nothing else in my collection has - I just do not find the occasion to wear it as much as I'd like and curse AP, UJ and FPJ for making such comfortable dress/casual watches.

It's lovely on the wrist though, and has a presence few watches can match.

I appreciate your review of the YG Daytona. I’m thinking of adding a YG or RG statement piece as a kind of an FU watch to wear on certain occasions. All my other watches are subtle and under the radar. Leaning more towards 5711r, but only at retail. Willing to wait. Those Journes of yours have really increased in value. I know you didn’t buy them for that reason (and I enjoy my CB too much to ever sell it), but if you want to lighten up on Journes you definitely will come out on the winning end. The main thing is to wear what you love and enjoy this crazy hobby/passion.

This is a fantastic collection. Another variant could be remove a chrono for a dress watch.
Out FOiS in Omega Trésor or Seiko or Cartier or …

But hey your money. Do as you wish. Some people buy gold coins as investments ...some people buy watches :)
I wear them all except one of the kermits and an NOS SD4k. I also keep some pieces at home in the safe. When I get bored of those, I go to the safe deposit box and swap out a few pieces.

FU watch is a great idea. Every larger collection should have one.

5711r is probably my favorite watch, bar none. I have good retail connections for Journe and Rolex, but nada for Patek, which is why you see no PP in my collection. I have never bothered to establish any "relationship" with a PP AD. I refuse to pay secondary pricing on a 5711 of any kind, much less the R. If I could get it at retail I'd buy that R in a heartbeat. Excellent choice.

When I bought the FPJs, outside of the CB none of them were flying up in value. So, they certainly weren't purchased thinking I was going to make loads of money, but they have gone up nicely so it is a nice to be making collection tweaks knowing that tidy profit is in your future. Funny thing is outside of a Panerai nothing else is really blowing my skirts up too much right now, so the FPJ money may not go to watch use at all. Who knows. That's the fun of this hobby.

Not sure what will come next. Possibly another Journe or maybe another Rolex. I just got the FPJ Octa S, so I’m in no rush.

My top 8. Wife’s Rootbeer is holding the place of Tudor GMT which is obviously in the service center for movement replacement.
