This is my first Nautilus out of 11 total Pateks. AT first I wasn't a fan as I looked at Patek as a more formal dress watch brand. I work in an industrial setting - hard hat & steel toed shoes - so found myself not haveing enough opportunites to wear the watches I have. One day while at my AD, I really spent some time looking at the Nautilus series. The more I looked, the more I liked. To me, a sportier series of watches. A watch I would feel more comfortable wearing on a daily basis mingled with a Rolex or three. My next watch will probably be another Nautilus. This was a spur of the moment purchase as last Wednesday my AD called and said this just came in. I asked him to hold until Saturday. It is now mine although I have no idea what I am paying for it.

Thank you. I also have a similar amount of Pateks but approx 40% are Nautilus. I agree that the usage of this line in todays market exceeds some of the dressier models. I think come the 40th anniversary of the Naut, if its good, should be fun to see...

Freed the 5711 today so one of the rare occasions when both 324 brothers are together.

Congratulations on your first Nautilus. I think many people share the sentiment that when they think of Patek Philippe, they think of dress watches. But they have certainly expanded their scope with the Nautilus over the past 40 years and the Aquanaut over the past 19 years. I think it helps us as watch enthusiasts to be open to new designs and models. Enjoy your Nautilus in good health
