So I've been a long time lurker here and firstly would like to extend a huge thanks to the TRF community for all of the amazing insights to the world of Rolex.

I've own an Explorer II and a white faced SS Daytona in the past but recently decided to get reacquainted with the brand after parting with them some years ago. Initially thought I'd go classic with a GMT II LN, but it just felt too small for my wrists and was sadly underwhelmed. Tried a Sea Dweller and loved the weight, but diameter was obviously the same. Tried Deepsea (better size but astonishingly deep and for me just too in your face), then SS yachtmaster II (surprisingly wonderful, but struggled to justify cost for a pretty useless to me complication), then white faced 41 Datejust (just a bit too grown up for me)....and then today came across the new yachtmaster 116622' and fell in love with it. Yup I know it's a 40mm but for some reason optically appears larger that GMT 2 and Seadweller, which I suspect has something to do with the slimming effect of black bezel vs silver of yachtmaster (or perhaps that's just wishful thinking on my part?)
Apologies for iffy iPhone pic but was taken over a very pleasurable celebratory lunch. I haven't seen this model out in the wild so thought I'd share my new and very welcome return to Rolex

I'm in this thread earlier with my platinum dialed 16622. I traded it for the blue dialed 116622. Here's the picture with wife's 35mm Yachtmaster. I really like the blue dial. I wish I had purchased it first.

I've had mine for only six months. Bought new Mid size. Wanted a bigger Rolex. Having buyers remorse because it's a little too sporty for me. I also have a 26mm two tone and I tend to wear that more. I hate when that happens!

These really are beautiful watches. I'm very pleased with my blue dial. It's my "dress watch". I don't dress up very often so it's getting worn for evenings out in any attire. My BLNR is my daily. Here's a lume shot just because pictures are necessary!

Hi all,
After all your opinions and checking my budget... I bought a 16622! I'll receive it in September!! I had the opportunity to try the 168622 and not convinced!! The new 37mm would be great but the red hand and script calls me more!! So....I bought a nice 38mm Breitling Colt ocean and the YM!!! Hahaha...crazy!
Thanks all for your advices! I'll post pics once I receive the YM!!
Have a nice day!

It is definitely under appreciated. If they would update the bracelet this would be at the top of my list.
