Only Sub, DD and DJ for me. I like GMT and Daytona, but i would never need the complication of the first and i dislike the tachy on the latter. Also no diamonds decoration, floral or jubilee dials.

Any flavor Sub. They are not as good as a GMT, IMHO.

YM II is weird to me. The ten minute subdial is just confusing. I have an original YM YG. The 10 min increment bidirectional bezel was excellent for normal everyday life.

Next is a Platona. The worst color combination possible. Since I deal with color every day in what I do. It is mentally and physiologically painful to look at.

Everything else. I would not hesitate to own.

I just bought a DJ 41mm two tone in yellow gold, which I previous thought was too retro. So at this point, I don't think I'd take the "never" stance on any Rolex. I love them all. Even the Cellini.

I've said, I'd never buy a ROLEX, ever. Easily the dumbest shh I've ever said. Tre are plenty in their catalog I gag at, especially the cheesy dials, and blinged out for house wives.

When I first got into watches in high school, I always said a Rolex was for people who had no clue. However, over the many years since then, I came to the realization that as a do it all, beater, one watch, whatever you want to call it....the Sub is just the best. That's why even with a lot of collections that have $100k pieces, you'll still find a Sub in with the rest.

The closest competitor IMO is Omega's Seamaster, but they have a long way to go to become anything like the Sub. The ugly protruding HEV along with that monstrosity of a bracelet for a dive watch just kills it.

YMII. Also, I would go for YG or RG way before I would ever purchase a WG.

A steel sports Rolex with a crazy complication that a lot of Internet forum dwelling Rolex fanboys (fan-geriatrics) get all hatey about? Makes it almost a must-have!

Got other things (like the Smurf). But the total f**k-*ff-ness of the steel YM II, the Rolex anti-social and yet extroverted, who gives a crap attitude of it really warrants appreciation by a certain type of character. Besides, complications. Who on earth needs a moonphase? For werewolves and their minders perhaps? Or an annual calendar, come on. Really, can't remember what month it is? Most chronographs never get used and that jerk-off complication is on every other haute horology piece.

A ten minute countdown timer, completely over engineered like it's the most important thing ever, in a 44mm case. It's like a giant middle finger to all the insecure, old-timey watch snobbery out there.

I'd never buy any Rolex adorned with precious stones! I find them soooooooo tacky!

Oh, and the Hulk just doesn't do it for me, and I'd never buy another bluesy.

A few years ago I, without hesitation, would have said Air King, but the Basel releases and some of the concentric dial models are attractive to me now. So I guess my subject to change answer would be an Oysterquartz. Cellinis don't do much for me either.

I too love my watches with lume. All my watches are SPORT watches. Just last night I took my Batman out on a late walk. Also love vintage pieces like my 1675 GMT Master that with age has retired it's lume. I'd offer a pic or two, but have not figured out how to get smaller pics out of my phone.
Have a great day.

Wow that's a great pair to have though, a vintage GMT and Blnr as well. I also have a Blnr and love it too. Lume is perfect on them.
I'd certainly love to own an old GMT Master though ,even with lume that has "retired". Such a classic reference. Cheers

I'm with you on that. My 7 3/4" wrists swallow up anything smaller than 40mm.

Much easier to say which other Rolex I would buy. Since I already own the BLRO, the only other one on my list currently is the DJ (116238).
