My air king actually belonged to my grandfather. Purchased it in the early 2000's but never wore it as he preferred a Cartier he had. He gave it to me about a year ago and even though initially i thought it was a bit small i have really grown to love it. I am seriously thinking about purchasing a 19 mm jubilee bracelet as i really like the look maybe even a dial change (quite like the blue 3-6-9). Anyone here have a picture of their air king on a jubilee?
P.S Sorry for the crap iPhone pictures |

Don't change anything the watch is perfect as is. In my opinion, it has the nicest Roman dial ever used by a Rolex. |

Here's mine. For years while I was fantasising about getting a Rolex I always thought I would go for one of the sport models but when the time to look seriously, I fell for the classic good looks of the Air King. Now I can't imagine having anything else. I like the fact that the styling doesn't scream, "LOOK... I'M A ROLEX" but leaves no doubt as to it's elegance (shame about the wearer but I can't do much about that). In summary, what a brilliant watch.

I took my 5500 to Iceland a couple months ago, and it was the perfect companion. No need to worry about scratching the 114300 OP39, the 5500 was exactly what I needed. Rugged and capable no matter the climate or conditions.

This was my first Rolex ever. I traded it away and always regretted it.
Found this one which was as close as I could get to replacing it. gave it to my wife to enjoy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lots of great pics guys!
Rolex doesn't have to be expensive to enjoy, even a historic piece like the Air King
