Lingard you beast! What a goal.

Starting to get concerned we might score too many. Got to keep that goal difference under Belgium’s.

Panama getting ripped a new one right now. This looks like Germany-Brazil

Did you see that idiot Godoy just smashing Kane on the head after wrapping him up? Wow, absolutely no class to start acting out because they’re losing 4-0. I truly hope somebody goes back and he gets repercussions for this. They’ve shown the replay about 10x here in Germany, ridiculous.

Edit: make that 5-0. I hope England pushes it to double digits if the Panama players want to act that way.

Once again I’m not loving the consistency of VAR. Panama should be down to 9 men at least, with two blatant elbows to the face.

I can see Panama ending this match with about 8 men.

Great start for England v the pack animals. Lingard did what Neymar couldn't, a dream curler into the top right hand corner. Kane super composed after having to wait an age to take both penalties. Scoreline looks great but would like them to be passing better.

I really hope we can survive the next 45 minutes without sustaining any injuries!

Being kicked (and pulled) off the park.

I can only imagine there is atleast one red card left in this match. And probably a few more England goals

Very glad I went into the tourney as an England fan, per TRF's advice

And now we wait for this game to become a street fight...

Poland and Colombia are in a serious predicament with today’s showing. No matter who wins today, they will have TWO teams ahead of them in points no matter what. Nutty

The draw between Senegal and Japan today was the absolute worst that could happen to Colombia and (Poland)

I'm obviously with Colombia on this one but it ain't going to be easy. I have a feeling group H will come down to goal differences.

Looking forward to the upcoming game.

Let's go COLOMBIAAAA !!!

Japan had the chances to win this, including the worst miss of the tournament so far. Hope they go thru but wish they were a bit better technically.

Wonderful first half.

Colombia's best so far: Juan Fernando Quintero

Quadrado was doing some damage as well on the right flank. Great game

I dint think England will win, or perhaps get to the semi's, but they are a good "dark horse."

When a team is up by three they should not add extra time.

So what are you guys thinking about group D? Honestly, I think Argentina is still through. A win over Nigeria puts them ahead of them. And Croatia looks to be on fire and don’t see Iceland beating them. That gives Argentina 2nd place. Thoughts?

Another good one is group E, Serbia completely controls their own fate, a win puts them through and Brazil probably out. If Brazil is ‘off’ I could see this being a really good game.

I think Croatia will rest their players and trust that Nigeria won't score 5 on Argentina, which opens the door for Iceland to score a few on them (Croatia) and leap Nigeria if Nigeria loses (or draws and Iceland's goal dif gives them the edge - look out for late goals from Iceland on Croatia if Nigeria is in a draw with Argentina). I could see this happening to keep an uninteresting Argentina out and a fan favorite (Iceland) moving on, for ratings. That group is extremely interesting.

What's more likely though is simply that even if Iceland wins, Argentina will lose, which puts Nigeria into 2nd.

Here's my group and first knockout predictions:

A/B -- Spain goes on a scoring run against Morocco, takes the group on goal dif and has to face Russia (who lose to Uruguay in group). Spain then politely wallops an overeager but overmatched Russia in the knockout stage. Uruguay comes out on top in their group and gives Portugal and Ronaldo the boot in the knockout stage surprisingly easily.

C/D -- Croatia sneaks past Denmark and then France embarrasses Nigeria.

E/F -- Germany recovers and pounces group winner Switzerland, and Mexico stuns runner-up Brazil. Trump says something positive about Mexico. Everyone hates him a little more.

G/H -- Belgium stuns England in group, takes the top spot, and Belgium goes on to shock Colombia creating THE Upset of the entire World Cup. The world loves waffles all over again. England has to come back from behind to handle Japan, and not without things getting heated and someone going down to 10 on the squad. This one will be a great match.

I don't think we'll get Japan, that would be too easy. We'll get Colombia.

Why the focus on Belgium repeatedly ‘stunning’? They’re one of the best looking squads in the entire World Cup, and lukakau is front runner for Golden Boot. Practically all betting websites have Belgium favored over England and Colombia to win the WC?

Wasn't aware. I don't gamble or browse odds. But I don't think most would expect Belgium to beat powerhouses like England or Colombia. Colombia looked real strong today.
