I’m a big fan of the date complication as well.

I generally love the strap, bracelet and rubber strap they supply with many of their oversea pieces. I prefer the steel

Still may have preferred it in WG or Platinum maybe but it stands out in my collection as something different which isn't easy these days

Great pics. Been looking at the overseas for awhile. That blue is stunning. Seeing your username assuming you are an StL guy too?

I’m on a waiting list here in Canada, and I’m told they can no longer order the Dual Time.

If anyone knows better, does blue dial (4500v) being currently under re-modeling/upgrading process?

That’s what I heard from US AD, (not boutique) but not sure whether it’s just make an excuse because AD can’t order that model.

Who really knows. Personally, I tend to think the pandemic has more to do with the slight supply glut than a pending redesign. These are nearly brand new designs (and movements) as is.

Perhaps the blue chrono versions are easier to get, but not the three-hand. Long waiting lists, according to the NYC boutique. Some ADs are not even taking deposits for them.

We need another photo! I realize the bracelet and rubber get most of the love, but really liking the dark blue gator strap too.

Great picture of the blue leather! I think I'm going to put the leather on mine too!

My blue dial dual-time arrived today, and I am thrilled! I was aware, of course, that the watch lacked the hacking feature, but I was under the impression that it could be back-hacked. Mine does not do that apparently. For those that have the 7900V dual-time, is that the case for you as well?

Just wondering why hacking is so important? I've heard this before about the Overeseas (all versions), and I could never understand why hacking is such a sought-after feature.

Even the best automatic mechanical movements in the world, including these by VC, can lose/gain a second or two a day, even in the best of circumstances. So, the "hack" of a mechanical watch to the second just seems unnecessary, IMHO. You hack the watch, and 12 hours later it's already lost/gained a second, so what's the point?

Not judging, just genuinely curious. And if the answer is only, "because it's a cool feature," I'd buy that!

I am of the same opinion, i don't care about having as you're never gonna get a mechanical watch that is running 100% accurate. The only flaw in this watch for me is the non instant changing date

I didn’t say it was critically important. I’m asking if the 7900V can be back-hacked. I thought I had read somewhere on this board or possibly elsewhere that it can, but mine apparently does not. Mainly just wondering if something is wrong.

Hacking is nice to set the time precisely so you can then see how your watch is tracking timing wise and then stress out about the deviation. Isn’t that stress what this hobby is all about???

Already discontinued. But you can ask around. Some ADs might still have.

Got mine from a trusted seller here.

I ordered mine last year in August, and received it in October with great discount. I loved it ever since I saw one at a Miami Mayors, but no discount available with them.
