Good for you for not listening to your friends....there's no such thing as being "out of date" with a Rolex. Wether it's brand new or vintage, Rolex watches are timeless.

Great story great watch, and great girl friend- both are keepers. I would love to know what kind of work you do- sounds very interesting. I may be showing my age, but what are "kicks"?

Hi from my GMT.

Thats awesome man, I'm glad you found the one that fits you best! Def why its important to try them on and see which one "speaks to you" as others have said. Sounds like a great chick too to buy that watch for you just for your bday after 8 months of dating!!!

A) Cool story, thanks for sharing.

B) Congrats on the new watch. Sc-w the youngest kids, you are getting a classic that will continue to be great and serve you well year in and out. Fads come and go, Rolex sports model remain.

C) Most important - marry that girl now! (I'm serious)

A totally awesome and amazing story.

I'd be all jacked up too if I had a one in a million girl to buy me watches, especially Rolex watches.

I like old school, but some of the updated watches also appeal to me, like the DJ with the Super Jubilee.
