I was glad to see that there have been a few cases - as Rolex will now struggle to argue that it was caused by me.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER CASES? THIS IS THE ONLY ROLEX WATCH I'VE READ ABOUT SO FAR, WHERE THE INSERT HAS FALLEN OUT.
I wish I'd taken a picture to share with you. Have now taken into local Rolex AD. What do you think are the chances of it being back before Christmas...???
They haven't been able to tell me if it's covered under the warranty as of yet...but I can't see how they can't cover it.
WILL KEEP YOU POSTED.
Sorry to hear about your watch.
RSC London quoted £225 + VAT for the insert and £664 + VAT for the bezel.

I'm still waiting for Rolex USA to bend over backwards and help me, or if I am going to have to bend over.......... It's been a week so far, no update.

I hope Rolex UK sorts this all out for you.

I think you have the amounts reversed, the bezel should be around $200.00, Dallas RSC just replaced mine, damaged by my dealer, and that's what they charged me. I would imagine the insert to cost more.

Makes me feel slightly better that my 16700 bezel insert is only going to cost approx £25 fitted from Rolex Bexley while I wait. It came back from ad service with an miniscule scratch (huge to me!) and they claim they could not have done it!!! I know it was not there when I dropped the watch into them... but for sake of £25 i'd rather take her home to rolex...
WHAT IS IT WITH THESE AD'S DAMAGING OUR WATCHES AND NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT!?! I AM SOOOO ANGRY !!!!!!

That sux! I'm sure Rolex will take care of it, especially if your watch clearly has no other damage to the bezel.
