Does my AD have his facts right???
Hey Guys ...and Gals,
When I purchased my new DJ I was undecided between two dials, I asked my AD if down the road I decided to change dials would that be a problem. He said not at all, but Rolex will no longer supply dealers with spare parts (to keep a tighter control on counterfeiting) and I would need to send the watch to Rolex and they would keep my old dial ...also for counterfeiting reasons. This does not sound right/fair! Why shouldn't I be entitled to keep all my original parts? What if I wanted to put it back to its original state for re-sale purposes or maybe I prefer the look of the old dial. Does my Dealer have his facts straight? I know I have other options rather than go to Rolex if and when I ever decide to swap out my dial and have it replace with another authentic Rolex dial, but how could Rolex do such a thing? And if this is true, and they do keep your dial, do they credit you for it? Thanks guys, |
