I think you mean an es-335.... those are fantastic... especially if they are vintage you get the real sound of those... Gibson's are the Rolex's of guitars (imho) there are other guitar makes (gretsch or whatever) but Gibson is awesome... The only diff between the 345 and the 335 is that the 335 doesnt have that dial i have on my guitar which lets you change the guitar sound to six different tones... awesome feature...

great guitars everyone... keep em coming

I had a Tobacco sunburst ES-335. Awesome guitar, but I sold it to buy my TT Blue Sub. I really miss it. I think, however, I will someday replace it with an ES-355, a la Keith Richards. Either that or an ES-330. I am partial to P-90 pickups. I would also like to have a Bigsby tremolo on it.

I also have my eye on a Brian Setzer model Gretsch 6120. I had a Gretsch 6119 Tennessee Rose, but I sold it to buy the '57 Les Paul Goldtop. I liked the sound, although it was a little thin, but I really wanted the 6120 when I first got it. I never got used to it because it wasn't what I wanted in the first place.

I stopped collecting guitars when I started collecting watches, but now I am back to guitars. I will post pictures of my custom made Joe Strummer Telecaster when I get it next month. It's an exact replica of Joe's guitar, built from vintage and modern Fender guitar parts by Chris Isaak's former guitar tech in San Francisco. We have been working on it for a couple of months. It's gonna be great.

Opps...typo ES335.
Owned a Gibson Les Paul many years ago, but as of late only Fenders. Would like to get a Paul Reed Smith however.

Wow sounds like you really like your guitars! I find it funny you sold your guitar to buy the blue sub hahaha! Those are the two most beautiful things you can collect... watches and guitars (and cars if you're superrich). Gretsch guitars are really growing on me and I thinik in terms of playability they are the best... but a Gibson is and always will be a Gibson... its well known.

Although I like the look and sound of a good Strat, I can't stand playing them. I hate the position of the pickup selector switch, which is right where I swing my pick.

Anyway, I sold my '62 RI Strat earlier this summer because I hated playing it. I also knew I had my PRS McCarty, which is a dream to play AND gets 90% of the tone of a Strat when the neck coil is split. The build quality is impressive, it sounds like a Les Paul when you need it to, but it has the versatility to get close to the sound of a Strat. However, if I could have only one guitar, it would be my '52 RI Tele. That's the best sound in the world.
