Lol, that's the best seat to aim for I nearly managed it once when flying on a companies Boeing biz jet, I was the only person on the flight and they said I could sit on the flight deck on one of the extra seats. Then another guy turned up so we both had to sit in the back. It's funny, I used to fly small/private aircraft and have no interest in that anymore but still would love to fly up front on a jet like everyone else

I often volunteer to do the 'In Flight Safety Demonstration' but only on condition the stewards shine halogen torches on to my Rolex as I wave my hands around indicating exits & the like.
I also demand that they video it, post the link on youtube & show it on the movie channel throughout the flight.

Anyone caught not watching said movie is beaten with a rubber hose until we land.

I think that's pretty standard procedure on some budget airlines

I do not care if anyone see's my watch. As to seating. If it is a night flight aisle, daytime window. I like to see the world go by!

As I'm poor and fly cattle class if I fly at all I get told where I'm sitting so it is irrelevant
I also wouldn't flash off my watch, but if it did get seen it would be laughed off as a Marbella beach front special I'm sure

If you want people to see your watch on a plane maybe you should just roll up you sleeve at the front, hold up your arm and shout " Rolex, Rolex, Rolex" as you walk down ths aisle towards your seat, I'm sure this would get everyone's attention, as it seems that is what you are trying to accomplish here anyway.

On a North / South Trip, I usually purchase two tickets - one on either side of the plane just so it is visible to all.

Of course, it would be crazy to wear more than one Rolex on the plane so I have business card sized photos of the other Rolexes that I provide complimentary to those in First Class and for $3 each to those in coach.

There are lot's of WIS nuts on here (me included), and I have admired watches on flights but never ever thought about the best seat to have my watch be seen?!

The latest now in Bangkok is that when you buy a Rolex they offer you a green shirt with 2,5 inch shorter sleeve on the left side.
This is so you can show off your newly bought Seadweller or whatever style you´ve bought.

Window seat.
I know of someone who wears a GMT on his right hand even though he is right handed, his reason? so that when he shakes hands with people they will notice the Rolex..

Read my post again Thomas
I was not telling I sit on the side for show my Rolex.
I was just asking how people do as most people here are Rolex fans and proud of their item.

As I fly dozens of north/south flights annually with the majority AM departures, I tend to sit on the aisle of the shaded side of the jet. There is a significant temperature difference.
It is for reason solely.
And my wife thinks I am crazy.
And I tend to be the guy on the plane that will comment on someone elses Rolex first, just to puff up the person and make them feel good.

I like the window seat. Mainly because I like taking pictures of the outside of the plane as we takeoff/fly/land. Plus I can stare at my watch in my own little corner.
