I could not agree more......I don't have a monster just a Seiko 5 with a light blue/roman numeral dial, but it does get a fair amount a of wrist time.

really enjoying it- the lume is firing and i have kinda done the bracelet- although i only had a paper clip in the way of 'tools' so i hope the bar end stays on!

Sam, great watch. I also used a paper clip and a bulletin board push pin to size the bracelet. Make sure that the pins and collars are recessed in the link. If they are you should have no problem. You might even feel them seat when you push them in. You will probably find the watch running fast until it settles in. Mine was running 15 sec fast after 3 months. Had it regulated and is now +2 sec. Good luck.

Almost forgot, if you don't keep the BM on a winder as it winds down it will run faster. During the day mine is dead on at night it speeds up. Doesn't seem to matter what position its in during the night.

Because those pins/sleeves are a bit of a pain to deal with, I HIGHLY recommend you guys putting some kind of modeller's glue or expoxy into the end of each link-hole.

Those pins and or sleeves have a habit of coming out which could result in your watch hitting the floor or going into the abyss entirely. This advice to me from my watchmaker.

Sam when you seat the pins and collars I use the largest paper clip I can find that will fit in the holes where the collars are located and the push pin on the opposite side. I started using this method after having the watched sized at my AD and noticing after getting home that the pins and collars were sticking out slightly from the links. The AD had used a sizing tool but didn't fully seat the pins and collars. The large paperclip positions the collar so that when you push the pin it will seat. Becareful I have read that the pins are very easy to bend.

Funny about Seikos
When I was in college I was constantly racing sailboats and surfing before school.
I watch was necessary for starting races and getting out of the water on time to make class.
After the crown on my second Seiko had rusted out, just after a year..... just after the warranty expired, I asked my local jeweler about Rolexs.
He was the Seiko dealer, the Rolex dealer was across the bay.
Well, he said, for what you have to pay for a Rolex, you could have a new Seiko every year for the next three years, and he emphasized, you'd stay in style.
The following afternoon found me writing a $300 check for my first Rolex, a Stainless, screw down plungers, Daytona.

Seikos have come a long way in 30 years, but the crown has not rusted out on my Rolex.

its running 15 seconds fast a day- im wearing it half the day and half with my planet ocean(3 secs fast a day)
my rolex hasnt been worn since 14th- as it hasnt got quick date i guess i'm better off waiting till valentines day then i can take my rolex out some place nice... might see if the wife will tag along too

ive gotta get me a cheap winder too

Got my Monster yesterday.
WOW what a watch, I am really impressed, probably the best £50 I've ever spent.
I had to go Orange thought to go with my Orange hand Explorer II

Went for the rubber strap too for a change.

Unfortunately for watches like these the Net might be the only way to go. If an AD cant order one in for you there's not many other options.
