Good point, the Explorer could in fact have lume arabic number just like this DJII.

Unfortunately the powers that be and the design Gods at Rolex wanted to make the Explorer more of a dress watch than an adventurer's tool that might be of use in harsh conditions.

I think the 'Explorer' has lost it's way and needs something of a Breitling Emergency Eperb to guide it back on track, but alas that may never happen or at least not happen for another 10 years when Rolex decides to modernise the 'Explorer' once again.

I just hope that the Explorer will enduring the interim journey and not get deleted from the range through lack of interest..
