I am huge fan of G-Shocks (the price, the features, the toughness, the available color & style) :-)

To name a few:

GW6900

GW810D

DW5600C "Speed"

GW9200 Riseman

G Shoks are pretty cool watches, they are picking up major steam in the hip hop comunitiy, people are "icing" them out. The one I posted a pic of has 10 carats and is for 10k on ebay.

Great to see much G-Shock love here on TRF.

I've rediscovered them after getting really fed up with a load of problems with my 2nd Speedy which is about to go back to the AD as it's running at +25 secs a day.

After a bit of research on the web, I seem to have gone a bit crazy.

First - I bought a GW-M5600 which is great as it's lower profiled than some and has the latest solar power and power saving options, as well as the atomic clock syncing.

Then I thought why not go for an original DW-5600E so that one is incoming from Japan.

Then I saw my ultimate G - the beautiful GW-5000 1JF - all the mod cons and with LDC coating and a screwback. Also incoming from Japan.

To spread the love around a little bit more, I moved over to the 6900 series and picked up a GW-6900-1ER also with solar and atomic. Due in this week from Amazon.

Not bad for a week's shopping.

Next on the list is an old style DW-5600C with the screwback.

WOW - I am glad to know that so many folks on TRF like the G-Shock was well.

So here's a stupid story... a couple of weeks ago I had occasion to wear my G-Shock in a jacuzzi. Although it is both inexpensive and made to get wet, I still felt trepidation as I purposefully lowered it into the water while watching the display.

As you can probably guess, I don't go swimming with my Rolex.

Careful now - chlorine will rot your bezel and strap!

I have to admit I *did* rinse and dry it off afterwards.
