Hey Josh,

Was I the source of that Steelfish?

Sure...you're done...

Have you seen that in blue?

Nice watch. (I said the same thing 3 times in the last 18 months.)

Did I really count three Explorer II white dials???

Anyway, I think you've definitely found a keeper! A very nice watch.

DJII's are gaining momentum, IMHO.

Josh - love your DJII - what a great dial.

A worthy successor to all those that have gone before it

Cheers

Seriously, congrats. I have had my eye on that watch but have not been able to see it in person yet. Enjoy.

I have flipped many a Rolex (nowhere in the ballpark of your numbers though) and I tell ya, I have the exact same feeling about my DJII with rhodium! My eight year old son LOVES that piece! I have others right now and when I wear them he never even bats an eyelash. Put that one on.....he immediately asks me if he is going to get it when he gets out of college!

Thanks so much for the lume shots! I honestly had no idea it had multi color lume! What a neat novelty!

Guilty as charged. I need some medication or something to control this watch OCD.

I love this dial and it is by far my favorite DJ II but one thing that annoys me is the lume on the hands does not match the lume on the dial. The two different colors of lume is distracting and to me cheapens the watch. It is like they used hands from another watch and slapped them on instead of making hands specifically for this dial.

I have for one reason or another never been satisfied with my current watch and always wanting something next...often flipping watches the same day the new watch was received.

I compiled a little list of the watches that I have owned over the last few years, many of which you will see were repeats (how many times can one person buy and sell and buy again an Omega Planet Ocean)??

Here is a quick list of the victims...

Tag Heuer 2000 Aquaracer
Tag Heuer Formula 1 (#1)
Breitling Superocean Steelfish X-Plus (#1)
Christopher Ward Malvern Automatic
Omega Seamaster Bond Automatic
Omega Aqua Terra 39MM Creme dial with blue hands (#1)
Tag Heuer Formula One (white face) – (#2)
Rolex Explorer II White Face (#1)
Breitling Colt GMT Blue Face
Oris XXL Chronograph
Oris BC3+ White Face Blue Hands
Tag Heuer Formula 1 (white face/SS bracelet) (#3)
BREITLING AEROMARINE COLT QUARTZ II
Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial (White face/blue hands) 42mm (#2)
Accutron Innsbruck Moonphase
Christopher Ward C3 Malvern Chronograph
Omega Aqua Terra Co-Axial (White face/blue hands) 42mm (#3)
KOBOLD Spirit of America SOA
Omega Aqua Terra Co-Axial 42mm White Face/Blue Hands (#4)
TX330 Perpetual Calendar (#1)
OMEGA Aqua Terra Chronograph 2512.30
PANERAI PAM 113
Seiko "pepsi" automatic diver blue/gray dial bracelet
Rolex Explorer II White Face M Serial (#2)
Panerai PAM 005 Logo
TX Technoluxury TX330 Perpetual Calendar (#2)
Omega Seamaster GMT White Face 300M 2538.20
Omega Planet Ocean 45mm (#1)
Omega Aqua Terra Co-Axial White Face Gold Hands 42mm (#5)
Breitling Superocean Steelfish 44mm (#2)
Tag Aquaracer Calibre 5 500M 43mm Silver Dial (#1)
Omega Planet Ocean XL 45.5mm (#2)
Golana Aqua AQ100-2 Black Dial 44mm
TISSOT T-TREND QUADRATO Chrono (#1)
Omega Planet Ocean XL 45.5mm (#3)
TISSOT T-TREND QUADRATO CHRONOGRAPH (#2)
Omega Planet Ocean 45.5mm (#4)
Tag Heuer Aquaracer CAL.5 500M (#2)
Omega Planet Ocean 45.5mm Blk/Blk (#5)
Rolex Explorer II White Face M Series (#3)
Omega Planet Ocean XL 45.5mm 2200.50 (#6)
Omega Planet Ocean XL 2200.50 (#7)
Rolex 16610 Submariner Date 2009 M Series

Jeez. Enough to drive a normal man crazy. Constant flipping and flopping. Never satisfied. Always wanting something else.

Well...I am hoping this is it. I am finally able to look at my wrist and be truly satisfied. This is my grail. The perfect blend of dress and occasional casual wear. It's only taken me almost a half of a decade to find her.

I present my Date Just II V Series Rhodium dial. I am in love!!
I thought Tom (tazzy1) must have been joking when he wrote that your DJII was in the FS section.

Maybe you should hang on to this one for at least a few more days to sleep on it.

Good luck!
