I purchased my Daytona SS for $12K in Halifax and that included taxes.
I considered buying it in the US but in the end decided to give my local AD the business because of the great treatment and service I receive from them.
They gave me a decent discount and I thought the price was fair.
I probably spent an extra $2K over US prices but I can sleep at night knowing my Daytona is real and if something goes wrong the solution is only 10 minutes away.

On the other hand my latest purchase (a Tag Heuer) I did get my sister in Texas to buy it for me and ship it up.
My local AD wanted the list price of $2800 plus tax($3300 total) for a watch I could purchase for $925 from Jomashop. It cost about $200 for duty and shipping.
Basically I was willing to take a chance of buying grey market on the lower priced Tag but not on the Daytona.

I plan on buying the new Sub next year(hope my wife doesn't see this)and will probably buy local unless its too out of whack with US prices. I talked to DavidSW the other night and he seems like a very good guy to do business with and he regularly does business with Canadians.
He receives great reviews and is well respected so I might give him a try if I can't get a reasonable price locally.

DavidSW is a gentleman and I purchased my Sub from him a few months ago. I'm positive that when the new Sub is available, DavidSW price will beat all others, not to mention provide you great service. Good luck and let me know.

Did you have to pay Canadian duty & HST with your purchase from DavidSW ?
